      I need some advice on how to make friends! I have just moved to a new city. I am 13. I don't know anybody here and I want to make some friends. What's the best way? Where can I meet people?

     There are lots of things you can do. First, you can ride your bike in your neighbourhood and try to find some kids. When you find some, you can go up and talk to them. You should also let your parents know that you want to make friends because they can help you. Maybe you can ask your parents to take you to the library or some places where there are lots of kids. You could try joining an art class or a sports club. These are all great ways to meet people. You can also try making friends at churches (教堂) if you go to churches on Sundays. Try to be active wherever you are, but just be yourself and don't try so hard. It takes time and patience. I hope you will find a best friend soon!

    When we say a person blows his own trumpet(喇叭)，we mean he tells other people how good and successful he is．That is usually an act of arrogance(自大)．But teachers at Wimbledon High School once asked their students to blow their own trumpet．

    “Some students are under too much pressure and they find it difficult to accept that they have been successful．”said Ms. Hanbury, head of this famous all -girls school in London．“They push themselves hard and might never be happy．”That's why the “Blow Your Own Trumpet Week” was held in the school．

    In the“Blow Your Own Trumpet Week”,the teachers asked their students to share their stories of success and failure(失败)．They also asked them to tell how well they did in each subject．In this way, the school wanted to help students to know they were all good at something and that they didn't have to be good at everything．

    Before that, the school ran a“Failure Week”to help students deal with setbacks(应对挫折)．The students learned how to get better from setbacks quickly, so they wouldn't think it was the end of the world if they didn't do well in an exam．

He lost both his arms because of electricity(电). Liu Wei was very sad when both his arms were cut off after the accident. But soon he had to make a choice. "For people like me, there were only two choices. One was to give up all the dreams, which would cause a quick death. The other was to work hard without arms to live an excellent life." says Liu Wei. Liu's dream was to be a pianist. His excellent life included a show on China's Got Talent(《中国达人秀》) and a wonderful performance(演奏) playing the beautiful Marriage D'amour with his two feet on the piano. Liu Wei learned to play the piano with his feet. And teaching himself to play the piano with his feet was very hard. Many times he wanted to give it up, but his parents went on encouraging(鼓励) him and he wanted to make his parents proud. Maybe you can not believe that Liu Wei is able to play well only with his toes. The audience(观众) were deeply moved and very excited when they watched his performance.

    Do you want to be in good health? Try to do the following things! You can become stronger.

    Drink eight cups of water every day. Water helps your body in many ways.

    Don't forget to eat your breakfast. Breakfast gives you energy your body needs for the morning.

    Go for a walk every day after meals. Walking is a good exercise, and people need exercise for good health.

    Stretch for five minutes after sitting for one or two hours. Stretching (伸展) your arms and legs is good for your body.

    Have a rest about twenty minutes when you are tired. You may do something different to take a rest.

    For example, get up and walk, sit down to listen to music and so on.
