Young people and older people don't always agree with each other. They sometimes have {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  ideas about work and life. But in one special program in New York State, adults and teenagers live together in a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  way.

      Each summer 200 teenagers and 50{#blank#}3{#/blank#}  live and work together for eight weeks as a group. Everyone works several hours each day. Some teenagers work in the forest or on the farms. Some learn to make things like tables and chairs and build houses. The adults {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  them theses skills.

      There are several free hours every weekday. Weekends are free, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . During the free hours, some of the teenagers learn photo taking or painting. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} sit around and talk or sing. Each teenager chooses his own way to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} his free time.

      When people live together, rules are necessary, In this program the teenagers and the adults make the rules together. If someone breaks a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} , the problem is brought to the whole group. They talk about it and ask, “How did it happen? {#blank#}9{#/blank#}  should we do about it?”

      One of the teenagers says about his experience, “{#blank#}10{#/blank#}  stop thinking only about yourself. You learn to think about the group.”

    Many students in the US always {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the bus to school every day. Parents think taking the school bus is very {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. But sometimes it is also dangerous(危险的). Some students were injured (受伤的) {#blank#}3{#/blank#}they didn't follow the school bus rules. What are the school bus {#blank#}4{#/blank#}?

    Once upon a time, there was a boy called Tom. He lived on a small island in {#blank#}1{#/blank#}France. He was clever. One day he was playing with some children on a(n) {#blank#}2{#/blank#}happily. Hearing their {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, a man walked up to them. The man was Louis, King（国王）of France.

     The king asked Tom some questions. After hearing Tom's answers, the king's mind was {#blank#}4{#/blank#}strange thoughts. He wondered why Tom was so clever.

    After that. Tom's life changed. Tom left that small {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. He was asked to serve the king. Later he became one of the best ministers(大臣) of that time.

    Thanksgiving is an American festival. It is celebrated on the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Thursday in November. It is a time for a special dinner among family and friends. People make short {#blank#}2{#/blank#} and give thanks for their food.

    We have celebrated the festival since the first pioneers (先驱者) arrived in America in the 17th century. While they were {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the Atlantic (大西洋), many people died, and after they landed, their first winter was {#blank#}4{#/blank#}than any English winter. The local people taught the pioneers how to grow corn. The next year they celebrated together by {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a dinner of the new food.

    We still celebrate Thanksgiving today with a {#blank#}6{#/blank#} dinner. The main dish of this dinner is almost always turkey. We all help to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the food. We lay the table, and then before we begin dinner, my father gives thanks for the food. We often talk a lot and tell stories after dinner as well.

    During the festival, there are lots of {#blank#}8{#/blank#} things to see and do. We live in New York, and we go to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (游行). Thanksgiving is the start of the Christmas season, and we start shopping for {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. Football is also important at Thanksgiving. Like many Americans, we usually watch the games on television and enjoy {#blank#}10{#/blank#} very much.
