The 14-year-old girl Susan Davis is having a party. At this party, there are neither cakes nor candles. There is only a room full of art supplies(供应品)and many kids she never met. And all the kids are homeless.

 Susan got the idea last year after her school. She worried that kids who could not afford their own supplies would give up drawing. So she started writing letters to big companies to ask for help. Then the girl received lots of donations(赠品)from some of the biggest art supply companies. Susan collected more than $3000 in supplies, enough to make a home for kids to paint their own watercolors.

By far she's held three parties. What she did was encouraged by the White House. Susan received the President's awards(奖赏). Now Susan does it for a different reason— to get the poor kids to enjoy art.

   What's your favourite animals? Monkeys, zebras or…… Now, let me tell you something about pandas. They come from China. Their heads and stomachs （腹部） are white, and their legs are black. Their black eyes are like a pair of black glass balls. Pandas like living in bamboo woods (树林)， because the place is cool ① 并且它们通常吃竹子。

    Pandas are lovely ,but they are in danger(危险)。② People cut down (砍到) lots of bamboo to build houses.

    Please save the lovely pandas. As a kind of great animal, everybody loves them in the world. Let's try our best to help them.

     "Tome Stay is a form of study abroad program. It allows the visitor to stay with a local family to better understand the local lifestyle. It also helps to improve the visitor's language ability. If you wish to learn more about foreign cultures or to get foreign experience，you should join this kind of holiday. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ," said a teacher during a school meeting last term.

    After this meeting,  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . At last, I had such a chance to go on such a holiday with some of my schoolmates last month. We went to London, a place where I had wanted to go since years ago.

    After we got to London, we went to stay with different families. I was lucky that my host family（寄宿家庭）was a white couple who had a daughter about my age. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . They were interested in me and I learnt a lot of things from then on.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . After breakfast, a local teacher would come to take us in his car. Then we would have classes or go on a sight-seeing trip to different places of interest like Big Ben, London Bridge, and Buckingham Palace. We would go back to our own homes after the activities.

    The holiday was a valuable experience for me. I enjoyed every minute of it. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . Three weeks later, we had to leave "home" for Hong Kong.

    I had a summer camp with my classmates last year. Early in the morning, we gathered at the bus station .After saying goodbye to our parents, we got on the buses. It took us more than two hours to arrive at the camp ground

    We got off the buses cheerfully. Laughing and shouting, we jumped and ran all over the place. It was the first time for us to be away from the parents. Some of us started to feel homesick However, when the night party find dances began, the homesickness(想家)was gone.

    The next day, everybody rushed to the boating class, hoping to be at the head of the others. At first, my friends and l worked hard, but the boat wouldn't listen to us and kept going round and round. Then the teacher taught us how to work together. After many tries, we did much better.

    Swimming class was my favourite. It was about the hottest time of a day and the best time to stay in the cool water. The swimming teacher was a funny man, and during the class he often made us laugh happily.

    During the week I learned a lot of new things and made many new friends. I also learned how to take care of myself.
