English people are well known for plenty of tea that they drink. Per person in the UK consumes (消费) around 1.9 kg of tea every year. Tea is drunk by all sections (阶层) of society.

But tea is not native to Britain. Most of the tea is grown in India and China. Tea first arrived in London in the 1600s. At this time, British ships were exploring the world and came across the drink in China. It was not long before green tea was available to buy. However, this was only available to the rich.

At the beginning of the 1700s, the amount of tea arriving in Britain increased slowly. Black tea arrived at this time. At first people drank this tea exactly as it was in China. They soon discovered that it mixed really well with a little milk and sugar, giving the drink a special British characteristic.

In the 1800s tea was still a product enjoyed only by people with money. At this time they began to have "afternoon tea". This includes drinking tea with a snack around 4 p. m. to avoid feeling hungry. It is a tradition that is still going today but has become less popular in recent times.

In the late 1800s, the price of tea dropped a lot as more tea began to arrive on ships from India and China. It was no longer a drink just for rich people. Tearooms-shops where you could buy and drink tea-started to appear across the country. People enjoyed drinking tea and social activities in these places. At the start of the 20th century, Englishmen began to make tea in their homes whenever they felt like it. Kettles (烧水壶) became necessary in every kitchen.

根据短文内容,完成下列各题。

Most teens need more than 9 hours of sleep each night. But about 1 in 4 teens has trouble in sleeping. Lack of sleep can affect everything from our feelings to how well we focus on tasks like studying. It can also influence sports performance, increase our chances of getting sick, and may lead to weight gain in some people.

How can we get the sleep we need? Here are some ideas:

Be active during the day. Get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. Physical activity can decrease stress and help people feel more relaxed. Just don't work too close to bedtime because exercise can wake you up before it slows you down.

Say goodnight to electronics. Experts suggest using the bedroom for sleep only. At least shut everything down an hour or more before lights out.

Keep a sleep routine. Going to bed at the same time every night helps the body expect sleep. Creating a bedtime routine can improve this relaxation effect. Reading, listening to music, spending time with a pet, writing a diary or doing anything else can relax you.

Expect a good night's sleep. Instead of worrying that you won't sleep, remind yourself that you can. Say "Tonight, I will sleep well." several times during the day. It can also help to practise breathing exercises or gentle exercises before bed.

Everyone has a sleepless night once in a while. But if you regularly have trouble in sleeping and you think it's affecting your mood or performance, talk to your doctor.

There was once a lazy crow (乌鸦). He thought it was too difficult {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (get) food. "Caw! Caw!" he said. "If someone brought me my food every day, I'd be very happy!"

One day, he saw a fat pigeon (鸽子) flying by. "{#blank#}2{#/blank#} happy it looks!" the crow said to himself. So the crow followed the pigeon until they came to a park. There were some other pigeons there too.

Before long, two {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (man) came along and brought the pigeons a large bag of food. When they had gone, the crow flew over to the pigeons. "Caw! Caw!" said he. "Can I help you?"

"No, you can't!" shouted the pigeons angrily. "We don't know you."

"The crow went home feeling sad. But he suddenly came up {#blank#}4{#/blank#} an idea. "I'll paint my feathers gray," he said, "and then the pigeons will think I am one of {#blank#}5{#/blank#}." After he did it, he flew off to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} park and was welcomed by the pigeons. The crow was so hungry {#blank#}7{#/blank#} he got very excited at the food. "Caw! Caw! Give lots to me!" he said loudly. Suddenly, the pigeons {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (find) he was a crow. They flew after him and made him away.

{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (sad), the crow flew to his own forest. But when his old friends saw him, they asked him to go away. They did not know him because of his gray-painted feathers. So the crow felt {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(bad) than before.

"What looks easier isn't always so," the crow said to himself. "I wish I had never painted my feathers gray!"
