Although most people believe that formal schooling is required for scientific success, a college degree is not always necessary. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}excellent example of a man who won fame as a scientist {#blank#}2{#/blank#}academic(学术的) training is Vincent J. Schaefer. His formal education ended {#blank#}3{#/blank#} two years of high school when he had to go to work in an untrained job at General Electric.     Schaefer believes that for people{#blank#}10{#/blank#}, most of all, are interested in the world and everything in it, a college degree is unnecessary.

    The sun at the center of our Solar System is one of the big reasons for{#blank#}1{#/blank#}we're here today, but it can also be a big trouble from time to time. Coronal mass ejections(CMEs) (日冕物质喷发)can seriously damage human{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(communicate) systems.

    For years, researchers{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(attempt) to forecast and predict CMEs in {#blank#}4{#/blank#}hope that warnings could help prevent damage to electronics and the power grid (电网). This study could help scientists more{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(accurate) assess the risk that the ejections bring to human technology and potentially help reduce the damage they cause.

But for many people, these matters of human existence {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (transform) into an abnormal state of despair. There is a vital place in public health for providing mental treatment in helping to correct these cognitive errors. It is not weakness to be defeated by setbacks. It is merely a mistake.
