Sanya is a beautiful city. The buildings are tall. The trees are tall, too. Summer is their favourite season for many people in Hainan. It's hot and sunny. The boys and girls can wear their sunglasses(太阳镜)and beautiful T-shirts. They can swim, too. The popular drink in Hainan is coconut(椰子)juice. It's fresh and sweet. It's very delicious. Spring is warm in Hainan. Fall is cool. It seems(似乎)that there is no winter in Hainan. It is often warm and cool in winter there. It's not cold.

At the Barber's

    Len was thirty years old, and he had very long hair. He lived in a big city. Because of his long hair, he did not find any work. One day he met an old friend, and this man said to him, "People in this city don't like long hair. Why don't you go to a barber? He can cut a lot of it off, and then you can get some work" At the barber's Len said to the barber, "Please cut most of my hair off."

    The barber began. He cut and cut for a long time and then he said to Len, "Were you in the army a few years ago?"

    "Yes, I was," Len answered, "Why did you ask that?" "Because I found a cap in your hair."

    Look! This is my classroom. It's on the first floor. It's very big. There are forty-five students in our class. This is the teachers' office. It's on the second floor. There is an art room. It's on the second floor too. There is a library. It's on the third floor. There is a computer room. It's on the first floor.

    Venice has many rivers. People don't travel by car or bike. They travel by gondola. In the desert some people travel by camel. Camels can walk a long time in the sun. In very cold places, some people travel by sled(雪橇). The sled is pulled by dogs. It is cold but fun!
