根据短文内容判断正误。

A teacher asked her students to play a game. The teacher told each child to bring a bag with a few potatoes. Each potato was given a name of a person that the child hates, so the number of potatoes that a child would put into the bag would depend on the number of people the child hates.

Some children had two potatoes; some had three and others even had up to five potatoes. The teacher then told them to carry the bag wherever they went for a week. As the days went by, the children started to complain (抱怨) about the unpleasant smell coming from the rotten (腐烂的) potatoes. And the students with five potatoes also had to carry heavier bags. After a week, the teacher asked," How did you feel!?" The children started complaining about the trouble they had to go through when they had to carry the heavy and smelly (难闻的) potatoes everywhere they went.

Then the teacher said," This is the same situation when you carry your hate for somebody inside your heart. The smell of hate will close your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot stand the smell of rotten potatoes for just one week, can you imagine what it is like to have the smell of hate in your heart for your lifetime? So learn to forgive(原谅) other people from now on and I am sure you will have a happier life."

 阅读理解

①My daughter's pet fish is dying. Recently I find myself spending minutes and even hours staring at the clear round bowl, hoping for another performance of its wonderful dance. To be honest, I am not a fish person. Compared with cats and dogs, fish can neither play nor walk with me. To me, they are just so boring.

②But every morning now, I tap on the bowl, shake out some fish food and carefully throw it into the bowl, hoping the fish can eat it with the least effort. I try to make the fish more comfortable. Yet there's so little that I can do. The fish just remains still (一动不动的) at the bottom of the bowl.

③"Come on! Eat something!" I say. And suddenly I realize that somebody said the exact same sentences to me before. Many times.

④I think of the banana pancakes that my mother would serve me every time I became sick and stayed in bed. They were my favorite treat and always made me feel much better. "Come on! Eat something! Your body needs to be strong!" My mom would always say. What made me even warmer was the idea that she would always, always be there when I needed her.

⑤Many years later, I tried to do the same when my mother became sick. She was only 61 but seemed to get weaker every day. "Would you like some green tea?" Again and again, I would ask, "What about some cake? Hot chocolate? Strawberries?" I gently encouraged her to eat because I didn't know what else to do. "Please, Mom! Eat something! Your body needs to be strong!" But she would not. There she was, lying still on the bed, with her eyes closed. That was the last time I saw her.

⑥The fish is still lying at the bottom of the bowl. I stare at it and suddenly a familiar (熟悉的) face comes into my mind. Then I say in a low voice, "Mom, ▲ ."

A young prince had just recently become King. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} So he called all the wise men from his country and ordered them to look for books for him to read and learn from.

Five years passed quickly. The wise men returned with 5,000 books full of wisdom(智慧). {#blank#}2{#/blank#} So he ordered the wise men to condense(简缩)the books and bring them back to him. Another five years passed. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Five more years passed. The wise men brought back 50 books but the king still felt there were too many books.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} The king took no interest in reading this book, and he didn't have time to learn from it. More problems broke out in his country—his enemies attacked and diseases affected(敌人攻击和疾病影响)his people. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Finally, the king was killed by a ruler in the neighbor country and his country was destroyed(毁灭).

Last month we {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ( ask) our students about their free time activities. Our questions were about exercise, use of the Internet and {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( watch) TV. Here are the results.

We found that only fifteen percent {#blank#}3{#/blank#} our students exercise every day. Forty— five percent exercise four to six hours a week. Twenty percent exercise only one to three times a week. And twenty percent do not exercise at all.

We all know that many students often go online, but we were {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( surprise) that ninety percent of them use the Internet every day. The other ten percent use it at least three or four times a week. Most students use it for {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( funny) not for homework.

The answers {#blank#}6{#/blank#} our questions about watching TV were also interesting. Only two percent of the students watch TV one to three times a week. Thirteen percent watch TV {#blank#}7{#/blank#}( fourth) to six times a week. And eighty— five percent watch TV every day! Although many students like to watch sports, game shows are the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( many) popular.

It's good to relax by {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( use) the Internet or watching game shows, but we think the best way to relax is through exercise. It's healthy for the mind and the body. Exercise such as playing sports is fun, and you can spend time with your friends and family as you play together. And remember, " Old habits {#blank#}10{#/blank#}( death) hard. " So start exercising before it's too late.
