Last Tuesday I took my two daughters, aged four and five, to town by1. It began to rain hard so I decided I would leave the children in the car before I went quickly into a shop. I2 the girls not to touch anything and told them I would be3 within a few minutes. Then I 4 all the doors and 5 them happily looking out of the window.

I returned to the car in less than five minutes but the girls had disappeared! I could hardly believe my eyes. The car doors were6 locked, the windows 7 shut and on the back seat were only two coats. I was8 and ran to the comer of the street where there was no9 of them. I rushed up to an10 lady nearby and asked 11 she had seen two small girls but she said" No". I got out of the car, ran round to open the boot (汽车后备箱) and there inside were two very red-faced and. 13 children. Every weekend, our shop will have the "Dress-Up"Day. During that day, we can wear jeans {#blank#}1{#/blank#}any other kind of clothes.

One of the most important {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(thing) is that we should dress according to the theme(主题) of the day. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}theme of last week was " dress up as your favourite cartoon character". I dressed {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(I) up as Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony, My co-worker was dressed up as Finn, a character from Adventure Time.

At that time, a customer went into our shop. It {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(seem) that our clothing surprised him a lot. "Why are you all dressed {#blank#}6{#/blank#}these?"he asked. I told him that it was a {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(tradition) thing of our shop."Well, you look like an angel," he said to me.{#blank#}8{#/blank#}I really wanted to tell him that I was in fact dressed as a little horse, I thanked him anyway. He then turned to my co-worker and said to him,"Well, you {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(true) look like a fat pig."I have to say I expected he would say something like marshmallows(棉花软糖).

Hearing this, my co-worker and I couldn't help {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(laugh). He was really funny.

Can you show me who your idol (偶像) is? An idol is someone who we respect (尊重) and love. As for me, my idol is neither a world leader nor an important person in 1 . My idol is my dad. 

Most people believe that a man should go out 2 work. When I was only five, I was 3 ill and needed care all the time. My mother and father both worked and my grandparents lived far away. This was a 4 problem. My dad knew how much my mum loved her job, so he stopped working and stayed at home to 5 me. Many men in this 6 would want their wives to care for the child. But my dad always thinks about others before 7 . This made me full of respect. 

My dad later took a 8 and worked at night. He chose the job so that he would only leave home when I was sleeping. Since then, my dad has 9 and supported me in every- thing I do. I remember when I learned to ride a bike. My dad ran behind me and held the back of the bicycle so that I wouldn't fall. I felt so safe 10 I knew he was near. I didn't even 11 him stop holding me. Soon, I was able to ride by myself. 

My family isn't 12 , and we don't own a big house or an expensive car. But my dad has showed me that 13 is more important than money. Although he now works hard every day and is often very 14 , he always finds time to stay with me. He helps me with my homework, and plays games with me. He has also taught me that I can 15 my dream if I really work hard on it. 

My dad is my idol because he shows me the most important things in life.

A few years ago we moved to a new city, so I had to change schools. On the first day at my new school, I was really {#blank#}1{#/blank#} . I found it hard to make new friends and hardly said a word to anyone for {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . When the morning break started, I went outside and stood on my own. I was feeling really lonely. Towards the end of break, a girl walked up to me. She introduced {#blank#}3{#/blank#} as Monica and started chatting right away. She was also quite new at the school and we soon {#blank#}4{#/blank#} we had a lot in common. We watched the same TV shows, listened to {#blank#}5{#/blank#} types of music, and we were both learning to play the guitar. Also, we lived just a few minutes' walk from each other! 

Monica and I have been really good friends since that day. Naturally we sometimes argue like everyone does but we're very close. 

Last Friday afternoon, my parents told me that they {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to take me to the countryside to enjoy the beauty of nature. I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} very happy about the trip. Before the trip, we prepared （把. . . . . . 准备好）everything for it. 

Then the next day, my father {#blank#}3{#/blank#}us to the countryside. Along the way, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery（风景）. The {#blank#}4{#/blank#}are taller（更 高）and greener （更绿）than those in the city. We stopped our car at times and went out to breathe （呼吸）the fresh air. It was so {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. We felt so relaxed. 

Two hours later, we {#blank#}6{#/blank#}the countryside. It was so beautiful there. We saw some farmers working in the fields. We went to help them and they talked to us{#blank#}7{#/blank#} . 

We had {#blank#}8{#/blank#}picnic in the fields. We enjoyed ourselves very much. We all thought the life in the countryside was more interesting than that in the city. We all hoped to live in the countryside one day. 

August, a 10-year-old boy, lives with his parents and sister in New York. August is a common boy in many ways. He likes riding a bike and playing video games. But he was born with facial deformities (畸形) and so his face looks very different from others.
