With the rapid{#blank#}3{#/blank#} ( develop) of science and technology, there is no doubt {#blank#}4{#/blank#}our old computers are totally out of date. The headmaster as well as the teachers and students{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(be) not satisfied with the slow working speed of the computers. Therefore, all of them request to have a new computer so that their problems can be solved {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （success).{#blank#}7{#/blank#}the school should consider is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}to deal with the old computers wisely. Personally speaking,{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(throw)  them away to the place{#blank#}10{#/blank#}they are regarded as rubbish is not a good idea.

    Change is much easier when you have many supporting partners and unlimited resources. But, since it is often the shock of a death, divorce or some other life tragedy that {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(push) us out of our comfort zone to take care of ourselves, it can mean{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(force) to start to be independent, which for many of us is the scariest part of all.

    Probably the most difficult thing about seeking significant change is doing it {#blank#}3{#/blank#}you don't have financial or emotional tools available to make the process go {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(smooth). But sometimes reaching our full potential means working without {#blank#}5{#/blank#}safety net. For those truly {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(devote) to their mission, having fewer resources can be a surprising blessing as it forces them to get {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(create)and explore new paths.

    I don't know if it's possible to leave this world{#blank#}8{#/blank#}zero regrets. Because of the natural life cycles and the fact that sometimes it's the tragedy that causes our awakenings, we often realize it too late to avoid certain painful {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(outcome).

    Please keep in mind that the choice belongs to each of us. We all have the power to change and give more intentional {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(direct) to the remainder of our lives.

    Music is in the comers of everyday life. It is said to be {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(benefit) to us both physically and mentally.

    There are many ways to make music. For example, if you blow into bamboos or shells, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(permit) air to come in, they can produce pleasant music. A recent discovery suggests that music is played much earlier than we think. In 1995, deep in {#blank#}3{#/blank#}cave in Slovenia occupied 45,000 years ago by Neanderthals, a leg bone of a bear with four finger holes was found, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} suggested that flutes（笛子）had come into {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(exist) at that time. Later, many other {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(tradition) musical instruments like drums were unearthed. Ancient people even {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(seek) a way to make music out of a bow that {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(intend) for hunting, so we have to admit that they did have a great gift {#blank#}9{#/blank#}music. But if accurately dated, the Neanderthal flute is by far the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(early) known example of music.

    Now music can be found in every known culture, and even the most isolated（孤立的）groups have a certain form of music.

    I went to visit an old friend of mine one {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (sun)afternoon last week. I sat in the car,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} followed long lines of cars. Finally, all cars started moving {#blank#}3{#/blank#} one stayed still.

    When I also drove forward, a man was standing outside the car and talking to each driver as they {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (drive)past. With his request refused by these drivers, he kept {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (ask). As I moved on, he also stopped me and asked whether I would do him {#blank#}6{#/blank#} favor to start his car as his battery had died, and he didn't want to call his wife.

    I told the man that I didn't have any {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (tool), but he said he did, and that all I needed {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (do) was open the hood(发动机盖子). After a few moments he was on {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (he) way again. He thanked me for helping him as he had asked four persons before and they told him no.

    Valentine's Day is known as a day of love and romance on February 14th every year.

    There are a few different versions of its origin and history, one of which dates back {#blank#}1{#/blank#} an ancient Roman festival, Lupercalia, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (celebrate) on February 15th. On this day, young single women would place {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (they) names in a huge container and young bachelors of the town would come and draw a name from it. The young man and the woman, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} name was picked would become partners for the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (follow) years. Many of these couples would eventually get {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(marry). It {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (believe) that the month of February is perfect for romance.

    Valentine's Day was originally celebrated in Europe, but in recent years it is also celebrated in China, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (especial) among young people. Interestingly, China has its own Valentine's Day, Qixi Festival, on the 7th day of the 7th month of our lunar calendar. It is in memory of a day on which the legendary cow-herder and weaving-maid {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (allow) to be together, after being separated by the Milky Way for a whole year.
