Once upon a time, there was a man from the State of Chu who loved his sword very much. One day, he was sitting in a boat{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(prepare)to cross a river, when he accidentally dropped his sword into the water.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}his ship moving fast on and the water running, the people on board reminded that he should go into the water to find his beloved sword back.     Today the idiom {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(relate)to the story is used to describe a person who stick to rigid rules without considering a changing environment or describes an action made pointless by changing circumstances.

    Family values are principles that help to define us as human beings. These values are learned, usually passed down{#blank#}1{#/blank#} one generation to another. However, they can also change over time{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(depend) upon the circumstances in which families find themselves. They shape the way we behave, they help families stick together, and they give us our identity.

    We always admire a person{#blank#}3{#/blank#} treats the elderly with respect, or helps people in need, or is always honest with others. Such{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (admire) behavior is usually a direct result of the values that person was taught by his family.

    These values or principles—respect, fairness and{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(honest) among many others—also help hold the family together in times of trouble. When family members feel pressure from the outside world, they know they can come into their family for a comforting connection.

There are many kinds of festivals throughout the world. October 2 is a national festival{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (honour) Mohandas Gandhi. who helped India become an {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (depend) country.  And in China the Spring Festival, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} is celebrated in January or February, is{#blank#}8{#/blank#}most energetic and important festival because it is a festival that {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (look) forward to the coming of spring. Why are all these festivals everywhere？Because during the festivals, people can get together to eat, drink and have fun with each other, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (forget) all the daily struggles and demands for a while.
