As we all know,the Dragon Boat Festival is our country's traditional festival,but do you know there is also a Dragon Boat Festival in South Korea,which also falls on May 5 of the lunar calendar? It has been reported that South Korea will apply to United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO联合国教科文组织)to make the celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival its own intangible cultural heritage(非物质的文化遗产).If successful,people from other countries may see the Dragon Festival as a Korean creation.

As the birthplace of the yearly event more than 2,000 years ago,China is not happy with the situation.“It would be a shame if another country successfully made a traditional Chinese festival part of its own cultural heritage ahead of China, ”said Zhou Heping , deputy culture minister.The Ministry of Culture is even thinking of making its own application to UNESCO,covering all traditional Chinese festivals,including the Dragon Boat event.

    It is thought that the festival is held in memory of the great poet Qu Yuan(340—278 BE), who lived in the State of Chu during the Warring States Period.Qu was known to be a patriot(爱国者)and admired by ordinary people.

China's in﹣orbit Shenzhou﹣16 crew (全体人员),including Jing Haipeng,Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao(网络直播) the first science class from the Mengtian lab module of the China Space Station for the first time on Thursday.

It is the fourth lecture of the "Tiangong Class" series,China's space science education program,aiming at encouraging young people to achieve their space dreams.

During the lecture,the crew showed their living and working environment in the Mengtian lab module (舱). Connected with the Tianhe core module and Wentian lab module,formed a basic T﹣shape structure of the space station.

The crew showed several interesting experiments in the microgravity (微重力) environment. For example,they showed how a candle flame (火焰),they explained the law of conservation of momentum (动量守恒) by showing the collision (碰撞)

The crew answered questions from the students in the end. When asked whether space rubbish can be seen from the space station and how the space station protects itself,Jing said that they haven't found any space rubbish so far. He said that space rubbish is harmful to the station,and said that the scientists on the ground will keep an eye on its move. "Once there is a threat (威胁),action would be taken," he said. The space station is also protected by some special equipment. "Even if we meet space rubbish," he added.

The Shenzhou﹣16 crew set off to space on May 30,2023 and returned to the Dongfeng landing site in November of the same year.

 阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。

Monarch butterflies(帝王蝶) are flying through Missouri(密苏里州) on their way to Mexico. Many American people love to see these bright- colored black- and- orange butterflies, but they need our help to stay safe and healthy.

Every year, monarch butterflies travel south to Mexico in the fall and fly back next spring. As the monarchs go south, people in Missouri might start seeing more of these beautiful things. They' ve already been found in places like Kansas City, and even in smaller towns like St. Joseph.

Sadly, the number of monarchs has dropped by 80% in the past twenty years. Monarch caterpillars(毛毛虫) need to eat milkweed (乳草) to grow. Much of the milkweed in the country is gone because of the overuse of herbicides(除草剂) in farming. Without these plants, monarchs have no place to live or find food.

Monarchs plays an important role because, like bees, they can carry pollen(花粉), which help plants make seeds and fruit. Here are some things you can do to help these amazing butterflies:

Plant Milkweed:This is the only plant where monarchs lay their eggs. By planting milkweed in your garden, you can give these butterflies a place to stop and rest during their trip. You can also plant other flowers to provide food for the adult butterflies.

Take Photos: If you you see a monarch, take a photo and up load it to the Western Monarch Milkweed Mapper. You can help follow the movements of monarchs and understand where they are during the year, which is valuable information for researchers.

Help Fight Global Warming:Changes in the weather are making life harder for monarchs. Bad weather hurts milkweed and when the temperature is too high or too low, it's difficult for monarchs to grow up. By doing things to help the environment, like recycling and saving energy, you can help slow down global warming and protect the monarchs.

阅读下面材料, 从方框中所给的A—E五个选项中选择正确的选项(其中一项是多余选项),并回答问题。

A. In Chinese culture, red lanterns are symbols of happiness.

B. They have become a symbol of Chinese culture worldwide.

C. It was mainly used in palaces in ancient times.

D. The shape was much like that of the palace lanterns.

E. However, traditional lanterns are still the most popular ones in people's hearts.

Lanterns have been part of Chinese culture for centuries and play an important part in many celebrations.

 Palace lantern(宫灯)

 {#blank#}1{#/blank#} When making palace lanterns, fine wood was used. The palace lanterns were covered with silk or glass. Different kinds of pictures were drawn on the covers. These lanterns were not only used as lights but also as decorations in palaces.

 Gauze lantern(纱灯)

 Less expensive bamboo and gauze (纱布) were used to cover the lantern. Red gauze was used when making them. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} So red lanterns are always hung on important testivals such as Lantern Festival, Spring Festival and National Day in parks or along main streets. In some famous China towns abroad, you can see red lanterns all the year round. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

 Shadow-picture lantern(走马灯)

 It was usually used for amusement. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} There were two layers(层) of covers and pictures were drawn on the inside layer. When the candle was lit, the heat caused a paper wheel inside the lantern to turn around, so that moving pictures appeared on the outside cover.

 Now more kinds of lanterns appear in festival s besides the traditional ones. More modern technology is used on making lanterns. There is no doubt that the modern lanterns will be more creative and interesting.

 What's the passage mainly about?(请用一句话概括, 不超过20词) {#blank#}5{#/blank#}
