    They say that their parents don't understand them. They often think that their parents are out of touch with modern ways,{#blank#}2{#/blank#}  they are too serious and too strict with their children, and that they seldom give their children a free hand.

   Parents often find{#blank#}3{#/blank#} difficult to win their children's trust and they always forget how they themselves felt when young.

   Young people like to act without much thinking. It is one of their ways to show that they have grown up and they can face any difficult situation. Adults worry{#blank#}4{#/blank#} （much） easily. Most of them plan things ahead.

    Young people make their parents angry with their{#blank#}5{#/blank#} （choose） in clothes, in entertainment and in music. But they do not mean to cause any trouble: It just shows that they feel cut off{#blank#}6{#/blank#} the adult's world, andthey have not yet been accepted into their world. That's why young people want to make a new culture of{#blank#}7{#/blank#} own. And if their parents do not like their music or entertainment or clothes or their way of speech, this will make the young people very happy.

    Sometimes youare so proud of yourself that you do not want your parents to say “yes” to what you do. All you want is{#blank#}8{#/blank#} （leave） alone and do what you like. It is natural enough, after{#blank#}9{#/blank#} （be）a child for so many years, when you were completely under your parents' control.

    If you plan to control your life, you'd better win your parents. If your parents see that you have{#blank#}10{#/blank#} high sense of responsibility, they will give you the right to do what you want to do.

    Most children with healthy appetites are ready to eat almost anything that {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(offer)to them. A child seldom dislikes food {#blank#}2{#/blank#}it is badly cooked. The way meal is cooked and served is most important and a {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(good) served meal will often improve a child's appetite. Never ask a child{#blank#}4{#/blank#}he likes or dislikes the food and never discuss likes and dislikes in front of him or allow anybody else to do{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Parents should accent the fact{#blank#}6{#/blank#}he likes everything and he probably will. Nothing healthy should be omitted from the meal because of a{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(suppose)dislike. At meal times it is a good idea to give a child a small part and let him come back for {#blank#}8{#/blank#}second helping rather than give him as much as he is likely to eat all at once. Do not talk too much to the child during meal times,{#blank#}9{#/blank#}let him get on with his food; and do not allow him to leave the table immediately after a meal or he will soon learn to swallow his food so that he can hurry back to the toys in his room{#blank#}10{#/blank#}no condition must a child be forced to eat.

    The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most significant traditional festivals. It{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(celebrate) on the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar.

    The festival is said to be{#blank#}2{#/blank#}honour of Qu Yuan, a great poet who tried all his best to help his own country but failed and committed suicide by drowning himself in Miluo River. The folks respected and loved him so much{#blank#}3{#/blank#}they threw zongzi into the river{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(prevent) fish from eating his body. Later it became a custom for people to eat zongzi and watch dragon boat races on that day.

    To advance and enrich the fine cultural heritage of the nation, the Dragon Boat Festival has been an{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(office) public holiday in our country since 2008.

    “What's the matter, Mum?”

    As soon as I entered the door, I found that my mother was not{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (please). It was unusual — she usually{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (open) the door and welcomes me with a smile!

    It's true that mother loved the tulip. But this kind of love must be {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(harm).

    Too much love can sometimes kill what you love.

The bicycle is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} most popular means of transport in China. People ride it for various {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (purpose) such as going to and from school and work. Bicycles are very cheap and easy {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (buy) in China.

There are many advantages of riding a bicycle. Firstly, compared with cars {#blank#}4{#/blank#} are powered by gas, bicycles can do good to{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (save) energy and reducing the air pollution. Taking up less space, a bicycle can also {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (lighten) the traffic jams. Most importantly, people can keep {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (health) by riding a bicycle regularly.
