Happiness means different things to different people. For Mary, who has {#blank#}1{#/blank#} severe sleeping problem, happiness is as simple as having a good night's sleep.

    Bed was once a place {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Mary went to rest after a long, hard day. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, she has not had a full night's sleep in almost six months.     Mary is not alone. Studies show that more than one in three people worldwide struggle with getting enough sleep.     Specialists say that people should not worry too much about this problem. In most cases, a lack of sleep {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(cause) by anxiety and pressure. It is important to keep yourself {#blank#}10{#/blank#} good spirits and to be positive. 

    A reporter from Jiangsu Province went to Australia and some other countries with his father for a 3-month trip. His father spent most of his life {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（work）in the field.     At the start of every new year, it is very typical {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (make) new year's resolutions. However, do they really work?

    Personally, I don't think so. Firstly, it's always great to start the new year with a good {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (intend) and a positive attitude, as it can bring more hope and happiness.     What makes the sea tum red and causes thousands of fish to die？As far back as anyone could remember, the blame was placed on the "red tides." In 1947, scientists finally connected the red tides with a microscopic sea organism(有机体){#blank#}1{#/blank#}(call)the dinoflagellate.

    The dinoflagellate is so tiny {#blank#}2{#/blank#} 6, 000 of these organisms may be contained in {#blank#}3{#/blank#} single drop of water. It stands on the borderline between plant and animal in its classification, it produces its own food, as plants do. But it moves {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(free)and eats other organisms, as animals do.

    Dinoflagellates are normally only one of the many kinds of organisms found in plankton. Plankton is the name given to all very small {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(form)of sea life. However, when the air and water {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(be)calm and warm, dinoflagellates multiply with {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(amaze)sped. The surface of the water appears {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(cover)with a red carpet.

    The dinoflagellates give off a poison. Many fish die. Their bodies are washed up on the beach. Beaches are not fit {#blank#}9{#/blank#} any use. Fish that are not killed may become {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(poison)to animals or people who eat them. Commercial fishing comes to a stop.

    As dinoflagellates consume all the food and oxygen in an area, they die. After a time, the sea returns to normal. But when conditions are right, the red tide comes again.

    Jackie Robinson made his debut (初次露面) with the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15,1947, and broke the color barrier {#blank#}1{#/blank#}African Americans in baseball.

Just two years into the Major Leagues, Robinson won the National League Most Valuable Player Award. He'd go on to play in six World Series and helped give the Dodgers {#blank#}8{#/blank#} World Series win in 1955.

    Off the field, Robinson was a forefather of the Civil Rights Movement, speaking out against {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (race) discrimination and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (push) baseball to use its economic influence to fight against racialism.
