Animals are important in Indian culture and are treated in a special way. For example, a lot of elephants aren't {#blank#}1{#/blank#} . they are domesticated(驯养). They aren't kept as pets, but as working animals. Every working elephant {#blank#}2{#/blank#} its own keeper. An elephant and its keep meet for the first time when they are both young, and they grow up together. In fact, their relationship continues for the rest of the elephant's {#blank#}3{#/blank#} perhaps 40 years. Lots of elephants work in the forest, moving heavy {#blank#}4{#/blank#} when they are cut down. Some give rides to tourists, or {#blank#}5{#/blank#} people during celebrations and festivals. Keepers take excellent care of their elephants , feeding them {#blank#}6{#/blank#} and giving them a bath at the end of the working day.

{#blank#}7{#/blank#} special animal in India is the cow. Cows are protected animals, {#blank#}8{#/blank#}    they aren't kept on farms or killed for food, although people do use their milk. So in India you can often see cows walking around towns and cities, and nobody tries  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}   them. If they sit down in the middle of the road, people  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  drive around them! Do you think it's interesting?

    He began to cry and said, "My brother {#blank#}1{#/blank#}out of his wheelchair and was almost under it. He is hurt and too {#blank#}2{#/blank#} for me. Could you give me a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to get him back into his wheelchair?"

    What will you do if you meet an alien? Here are some different opinions from the teenagers.

    Jenny: Aliens are always mysterious (神秘的) to us. In my mind, aliens are very dangerous because we don't know them very much. So, if I meet an alien, I will run away from him{#blank#}1{#/blank#}I can. I don't want to be killed by him. If I'm{#blank#}2{#/blank#}and get caught by him, I will keep cool and then try my best to{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. I won't risk my life to get along with the alien, even if he seems{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. I am too frightened to meet them.

    Tom: If I have a chance to meet an alien, I will feel very lucky. I believe that everyone has{#blank#}5{#/blank#}living on other planets. I want to make friends with the alien. I want to know more about the life on his planet. I will ask him about the{#blank#}6{#/blank#}between the Earth and his planet. The children went to the lake first. There they saw many fish {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in it. Jane was really happy, "Look, how beautiful the fish are! I hope I can swim {#blank#}4{#/blank#} them." Then they went to the bird garden. There were different {#blank#}5{#/blank#} of birds in it. These birds were not {#blank#}6{#/blank#} when people were near them. Then Mr. Smith took them to a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} for lunch. The food was expensive {#blank#}10{#/blank#} very delicious. All in all, they had a great day.
