As a general rule, a band may start as a group of high-school students {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (share) the same interest in music. They may first practise their music in someone's house. As time goes by, they gradually become known to the audience and some even make records!

Of {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(it) four members, only one was good enough and the other three just pretended {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (sing) during the broadcasts. To be honest, it couldn't {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (call) a real band in the beginning. Anyhow, they succeeded and became so popular {#blank#}8{#/blank#} their fans formed clubs in order to get more familiar with them.{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (fortunate), the Monkees broke up about 1970. But they reunited in the mid-1980s and produced a new record in 1996,{#blank#}10{#/blank#} was to celebrate their former happy time.

    Different people feel stressed in different ways. Some ways of dealing with stress don't solve much. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} other ways can lead you to {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (solve) your problem or at least feeling better.

    Try taking these four steps the next time you are stressed: Get support. When you need help, reach out to the people {#blank#}3{#/blank#} care about you. Talk to your parents or other {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (relative). And don't forget about your friends. They might have had similar problems. Don't take it out on yourself. Sometimes when kids are stressed and upset they take it out on {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (they). Oh, dear, that's not a good idea. Remember that there are always people to help you. Ask for a helping hand to get you through the tough situation. Try to solve the problem. After you're calm and you have support from adults and friends, it's time {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (get) down to business. You need to figure {#blank#}7{#/blank#} what the problem is. Even if you can't solve it all, you can solve a piece of it. Be positive. Remember stress {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (do) go away, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (especial) when you start working on solving it. These steps aren't magic, but they do work. And if you can stay positive as you make your way through a tough time, you'll help yourself feel {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (good) even faster.

    Sudan is the only male northern white rhino (犀牛) left in the world. That {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (mean) Sudan, 42, is the last hope for avoiding extinction. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(protect) him, officials have placed him under 24-hour armed guard at the OI Pejeta Conservancy in central Kenya. Sudan lives there {#blank#}3{#/blank#} two female northern white rhinos, Fatu and Najin.

    Northern white rhinos, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} can weigh up to 5,000 pounds, were once plentiful across northern and central Africa. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (hunter) have killed thousands of rhinos because of {#blank#}6{#/blank#} high demand for the animals，horns (角). Rhino horns, believed to have medical effects, are used in {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (tradition) Asian medicines. More than 1,000 rhinos {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (kill) in 2014 in South Africa alone and fifty-four rhinos in Kenya, which has a much {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (small) population.

    Sudan, Fatu, and Najin have had their horns {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (remove) so that they will not be hunted. People hope Sudan and one of the females will be able to have a baby. Sudan is very old, but scientists will not give up hope.

    While not everyone will have pondered (思索) the subject while staring out of the window during {#blank#}1{#/blank#} flight, the question as to why aeroplanes have circular windows rather than square ones is interesting.

    Over the years, aerospace engineering {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (make) huge leaps in aeroplane technology, meaning planes can carry {#blank#}3{#/blank#} passengers and go faster. The planes have also changed shape to increase safety — including the windows.

    In the 1950s, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} jetliners were starting to become mainstream, the De Havilland Comet came {#blank#}5{#/blank#} fashion. With a pressurised cabin, it was able to go higher and faster than other aircraft.

    {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, the plane had square windows and in 1953 two planes fell apart in the air, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (kill) 56 people in total.

    The reason for the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (crash)? The windows.

    {#blank#}9{#/blank#} there's a corner, there's a weak spot. Windows, having four corners, have four potential weak spots, making them likely to crash under stress — such as air pressure.

    By curving the window, the stress that would {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (eventual) crack the window corner is distributed and the likelihood of it breaking is reduced.

Stan: You mean that little storage room? Oh, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} would be too small.

Cathy: Are you sure? With those things taken out, it might be {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (big) than it looks.

Stan: Good idea.
