Number 1 in Chinese Culture

    Number 1 is the simplest number, but has  most complex cultural meaning in Chinese culture. It has the meaning of the beginning, the origin, and the whole, was first suggested by Lao Zi, a well-known philosopher in ancient China in his classic—Tao Te Ching. Meanwhile, this number  (regard) as "the mother of all creatures" by some other Chinese philosophers in ancient times.
