One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried loudly {#blank#}1{#/blank#}hours and the farmer tried to figure out {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(cover) up anyway; it just wasn't worth the effort to get the donkey back.

    He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel（铲）and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(cry) horribly. Then, to everyone's {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(amaze), he quieted down. A few shovel loads {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(late), the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(hit) his back, the donkey was doing something surprising. He would shake {#blank#}8{#/blank#} off and take a step up.

    As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would do the same. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over {#blank#}9{#/blank#} edge of the well and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(happy) ran off!

    Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

    The carrier rocket sent a Shenzhou-ll spacecraft（航天器）with astronauts Chen Dong and Jing  Haipeng into space. The rocket was fired from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center{#blank#}1{#/blank#}the Gobi desert.     2 laboratory will not be part of that space station. Its main goal is to practice the techniques and the{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(technology) that they will be {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(use)to build and operate that final space station.

    It is predicted that the Chinese space station will be built mostly by machine. China hopes to have the space station{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (complete) by 2022 and it is expected to operate for at least 10 years.

    China also plans to land a probe（探测器）on Mars by 2020. Until now, China has completed a total of five manned space missions. And, in 2003,it {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (successful)landed a probe on the moon.

    Savanna, 11, is possibly one of our next great experts of the heart disease. After visiting her Sunday school teacher, who was about to perform a heart {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (operate) at the hospital, Savanna's curiosity led towards a deep appreciation of the heart and its importance to the human body.

When talking about our bodies, we often forget our skin. Actually, our skin is very important, too. It keeps us{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(inform) of the outside world--{#blank#}2{#/blank#}it is hot or cold, wet or dry.

The skin goes back to its first position, which means that skin is elastic (有弹性的).

Our skin seems to be very thin, but it {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (make) up of two layers. The top layer is the one we wash every day. Do you know that this part of skin is dead? However, it is still very important because it serves as{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (protect) against dirt and disease.

Skin has millions of tiny holes called pores(毛孔). Pores allow liquid, especially sweat,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(pass) through. By{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (sweat), our bodies keep up a normal temperature. When it is very hot, we sweat a lot, but{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(strange) enough, when it is quite cool, we also sweat. On a cool day, our bodies produce {#blank#}9{#/blank#}average of 700 ml of sweat. That is{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(much) than 0.5 kilos.
