    An English club will be set up on Dec. 16 in our school. It aims to arouse our interests in English and make us know more about the world.

    The club provides a platform, which we English lovers can improve our English proficiency through various activities. Firstly, we were to discuss some hot topics and express our opinions free.     To show our love for poor kids lived in earthquake-hit areas, our school hold a special activity the other day in our school lecture hall. Its purpose was to making sure those poor kids have a warm winter. All the teachers and students in our school took an actively part in this activity. We gave away 400 pieces of clothes and 200 pairs of shoe altogether. After be sorted, they will be sent to those in the need. I believe what they did will make a great difference to those poor kids.     I used to be a person who hates exercising. But after I started playing baseball, I attracted by the sport. Therefore, I cut down on most of my spare time, like shopping. Though it wasn't the hard process for me, I needed to make more of an effort than others. I enjoy the feeling of work with my teammates as well as the time we spend it together. There is a proverb that goes, "The process is much beautiful than the outcome."

    I am a beginner in this sport. Sometimes people will look down on me, and it doesn't matter. It will only make me keep trying. Only with practising over and over again do I believe I can catch up with other fantastic player one day. The challenge encourages myself to go on.

    My senior high school life started as military training (军训). It was included two parts: the theory exam and the physical training, that lasted about two weeks. The latter was much hard than the former. Dressing in green uniforms and exposed to the sun, we had to follow the soldiers' daily routine and go through hard training. Each morning, we had to get up and fold quilts rapid. We must finish our meals in limited times, too. Then I think it unbearable. Besides, now looking back, I find it necessary. It is the military training teaches me how to bear hardship and lead a better life.
