There was a small village near a mountain. People there loved their village very much and they grew many {#blank#}1{#/blank#} on the mountain. Water in the rivers was very clear and the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} was clean. People lived a poor life, but they were very {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . After a few years, some people in the village started to cut down trees to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} for money. There were some people from cities {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to visit the village. People began to kill some wild animals as {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to treat (招待) the visitors. Of course, they made lots of money. But {#blank#}7{#/blank#} knew what the village would be like in the future. As time went on, there were fewer plants and animals and the water became {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. The visitors became fewer and fewer. Several years later, people there knew they must stop destroying (破坏) {#blank#}9{#/blank#} . They would like to live a happy life as before, so they began to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} new plants. They hoped the village would become as beautiful as before.

    Every summer Carol travels a lot by herself and visits new places. Last August she had a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} vacation, so she was on a tour of four countries in Europe. Europe was beautiful but her vacation wasn't very nice. She was in each country only for three days. She visited too many museums and was always {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. After her vacation she was tired and bored. This summer she is going to spend her vacation in a   {#blank#}3{#/blank#} way. She is going to travel to one country in Asia with friends and visit only one city. They will stay there for seven days and they are going to choose a city near the sea {#blank#}4{#/blank#} they can go swimming and have picnics on the beach. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a happy journey it must be!

    There are many places of interest in Hangzhou. Last month, when my uncle Ted invited my family to go there, I was really excited.

    We got there {#blank#}1{#/blank#} plane. We spent three hours in total on the way. When we landed {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (safe), it was 11:00 at night. We found a nice hotel to live in. And we chose a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} /'stændəd/ room with two single beds. It was very clean. And the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (condition) there were very good.

    The next morning we had a big breakfast. Then we couldn't {#blank#}5{#/blank#} /weit/ to visit the West Lake. The scenery(风景) there was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} beautiful that we all lost ourselves in it. We rode bikes there and had a wonderful time.

     On the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (two) day we visited the Yue Temple(岳庙). It's famous for our national hero, Yue Fei. We couldn't find a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} / 'prɔpə/ place to take photos because there were too many people. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} we were a little tired, we still felt very happy.

    I'm looking forward to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (visit) it again. If you go there, I'm sure you will enjoy yourself, too.

During the dancing party, she and the prince danced together very well. 

    When the bell rang at 12 o'clock, she went b{#blank#}7{#/blank#} home very quickly but l{#blank#}8{#/blank#} one glass shoe in the palace. Then the prince took the glass shoe and asked from door to door around the country to l{#blank#}9{#/blank#} for the girl who wore it. At last, he found Cinderella and married(娶) her. They lived h{#blank#}10{#/blank#} ever after.

    What will you do {#blank#}1{#/blank#} you don't have any pocket money(零花钱)? Well, it's a good way to get some {#blank#}2{#/blank#} your parents.

    Most children in America get pocket money by {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (do) chores. They usually start to do chores at the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} of 10. Parents ask their children to do{#blank#}5{#/blank#} easy and interesting. Then parents give their children some pocket money for their work. Of course, school students have to do their homework and study for{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (test). So they often do some chores on weekends. Young kids can only do easy chores, so they{#blank#}7{#/blank#} get much money. They just buy some candy with their own money. Candy is cheap! When kids get {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(old), they want to buy something more expensive. They have to work harder and they can get more money.

    President Obama says that he gives his two daughters just two dollars every week. Two dollars is little for the housework, but the two girls are happy{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (make) their pocket money. They buy their favorite books or food with it. Obama{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (hope)his daughters can learn some money-management (理财)skills.
