    I had a pretty good time in Beijing last weekend with my parents and my brother.

    We went to Beijing by train on Friday night and got there on the morning of Saturday. We went to Tian'anmen Square first. There were many people there. We watched the national flag(国旗)go up. Then we went to the Palace Museum. My parents liked it very much, but I thought it was kind of boring. After lunch, we visited the Great Wall. When we got to the Great Wall, it started to rain. The rain made the mountains look very beautiful. We played on the Great Wall and took some photos. On Sunday morning, we visited a Beijing Hutong. Then after buying some things in Wangfujing Street in the afternoon, we went back home. We really enjoyed ourselves.

    What is DIY? Why do many people like it? Yang Chen works for a computer business in Beijing. He enjoys his work, but it is not easy for him to relax(放松) after work. One day when he saw many toy dogs in a toy shop, he had an idea. "Why not make them myself?" Then he began to make model planes, model ships and something else. What's more, they think it is a good way to protect the environment (环境). It is a kind of green life. In fact, DIY is not a modern thing in China. Many people remember when it was once a way of life in the past. During the 1960s and 1970s, when there were not enough living things for people to live on, they had to use their own hands to do many things. If you wanted something, you had to do it yourself, and if you needed something, you made it yourself.

    Times have changed and DIY also has different meanings.

    I have a lot of problems recently. Firstly, I'm not happy in class. I'm so shy that I'm afraid of speaking in class. Secondly, I argued with my best friend. I'm very worried because I have few friends. I don't want to lose her. Thirdly, I feel nervous when the midterm exams are coming. And sometimes I even can't sleep well at night.

    Yesterday, my mother took me to the doctor. I told the doctor my problems and he gave me some suggestions. He asked me to make more friendly friends and play games in my free time, so that I will not be so shy. He also said, “If you don't want to lose your best friend, you should talk with her. Tell her what you think. ”Because I can't sleep well, he asked me to eat some food that is good for sleep. And he asked me to relax. I'm trying to follow his advice. I think I will get better soon.
