Luis and his wife Gloria live in a nice apartment, but it isn't big enough. They need a house with at least three bedrooms. They also want to have a yard for the children to play in. And so far they  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  (look) at several houses that are for sale. One of them was beautiful but terribly expensive. Their business isn't going well. so they can't afford an expensive house. That's why they  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (search) for one that doesn't cost a lot, and, of course, that's not easy to find.

 Yesterday they looked at four houses, and three of them {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  (be) great. But they couldn't afford the houses they liked, and they didn't like the one they could afford. The only affordable one was old and had cracks（裂缝）in the walls. Last night, Luis and Gloria talked about the house for two hours. “I know we{#blank#}4{#/blank#}  (not find) anything that costs less, and I want to move as soon as I can,” said Luis. “And I'm tired of looking at houses we can't afford,” Gloria added. So they decided to buy the old house and repair it. The house will need a lot of work, but it's a nice neighborhood and the back yard is big. It'll look beautiful when it  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}   (repair). Luis and Gloria are good at painting, and some of their friends will help with the repairs. The children will be happy  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}    (have) their own house where they can make all the noise they want.

    Last year, I had a chance to be {#blank#}1{#/blank#} exchange student. I went to the USA. It was the  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (one) time for me to be there. I was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (excite), because I had never gone abroad. When I arrived in America, I stayed with a host family. At first, I was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} nervous that I could hardly speak a word. But my host parents were very kind to me and helped me to be relaxed. Gradually, I managed {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (understand) them and my friends. Soon I got used to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (live) in the USA. Now I can speak English {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (good) than before. Sometimes I still share my ideas {#blank#}8{#/blank#} my friends in America. I really enjoy my experience as an exchange student. It's exciting to 1ive in a country with {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (difference) culture. I hope that I will have more {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (chance) to go abroad.

    Every day standing at my information desk, I have to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} lots of questions of the visitors coming from all over the world. People may ask {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the strange things sometimes, I'm often {#blank#}3{#/blank#} at the different questions that people ask.

    I am {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to give information about bus and subway routes(路线) in the city. Of course, visitors always have questions about the best ways of {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to some interesting places. But quite often people are interested to know about museums, hospitals or {#blank#}6{#/blank#} . Once a man wants me {#blank#}7{#/blank#} care of his dog, and another {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a woman asked me to watch her seven {#blank#}9{#/blank#}!

    I love my job though I am always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} busy.

    There are twelve months in a year and my favourite month is June. June 1 is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(children) Day. On that day, my mother often {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(buy) some beautiful clothes for me. On the 12^th,we have a basketball game. Basketball is my favourite {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.I like watching basketball games {#blank#}4{#/blank#}TV. My birthday is in July. I want {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(have) a birthday party and invite my friends to my home.

    With more and more cars coming into our families, we are happy that it has greatly improved our life. But {#blank#}1{#/blank#} it has also brought many problems, such as heavy traffic and traffic accidents.

    Traffic safety is everybody's business. We must obey the traffic {#blank#}2{#/blank#} For example, we must walk on walk sides. When we cross zebra-crossing, stop and look {#blank#}3{#/blank#}and left, then go{#blank#}4{#/blank#}he road fast. Don't play football on the road. We can tell our parents not to drink before they drive, not to run through red lights, not to talk and laugh{#blank#}5{#/blank#}we are driving, etc.

    We can say cars are coming into our life, but only when everybody thinks traffic safety is everybody's business can we be safe driving on roads and walking on walk sides.

    Emily has so many {#blank#}1{#/blank#}at home. She has to do her homework after school. She can't go out {#blank#}2{#/blank#}school nights. She has to{#blank#}3{#/blank#}the dishes after dinner, then she can watch TV for half an hour. She usually reads books at night. She has to be in bed by ten o'clock because she has to get up {#blank#}4{#/blank#}the next morning. She joins a music club. She has to {#blank#}5{#/blank#}the guitar every day.
