    My hometown Hainan is a beautiful place. Hainan Island is in the south of our country. It is the second largest island in China. It is famous for its wonderful sights, especially the blue sea and the white beaches.

    The weather here is neither too hot nor too cold all the year round. On the island you can go sightseeing, fishing, swimming Or scuba diving(潜水). You can also enjoy the fruit here, such as coconuts(椰子), mangoes, etc.

    Hello, I'm Tom. I go to a new school in Xi'­an. I have Chinese, maths, English, music, art and PE at school. I like Chinese. My Chinese teacher is Ms. Li. She is young and kind. My PE teacher is tall and strong. He is a good basketball player. Mr. Chen is my maths teacher. He is funny. My English teacher is Ms. Wang. She is not young and she is very strict, but sometimes she is very nice. I like my new teachers and I like my new school.

    There is a new park near my house. It's in the south of the city. It's a fine day today. My parents and I are in the park now. In the park, there is a big lake. We like it very much.

Dear Kim,

    We arrived at Holiday Cove on Monday and we are having lots of fun.

The flight was so boring. I nearly fell asleep but at least everything went well—not like last time.

    When we landed we went straight our camp. My cousin Emma is staying next to us.

    I am excited because we are going to visit the crocodile farm tomorrow. Peter is scared and says he wants to go to see the kangaroos instead.
