Seasons In Lishui

    Lishui is a beautiful city. The mountains are green. The air is fresh. And the water is clean. There are 4 seasons in Lishui — spring, summer, autumn and winter.

    Spring comes from March to May. It is warm and often rains. Spring is beautiful with flowers and songs. People always enjoy the flowers with their family on the weekend. Children like to fly kites. After spring, summer is coming. It is in June, July and August. The days are long. It is sunny and hot. People like going swimming and boating. Children like summer best, because they like the summer holiday and they can eat ice-cream. Autumn comes with September. The weather becomes cooler and it's often windy. Autumn is golden. Farmers are busy picking oranges. Because there are many orange trees in Lishui. So people can eat delicious oranges in this season. People also like to go hiking and climb mountains on the weekend. Winter is cold and the year is gone. It comes from December to February. It doesn't often snow in Lishui. Chinese New Year and the winter holiday are all in winter. So winter is a happy season for us.

    Paul and Peter are good friends. At school they are good students. Today they help their teacher Miss Li clean their classroom after school. What a messy classroom! There are some pieces of paper on the floor. The desks are not in a line. The windows are dirty. Paul and Peter first clean the floor and windows. Then they tidy the desks. Now the classroom is clean. "You are great, Paul and Peter. Thank you, "says Miss Li.

    Spring is coming. The sun shines in the blue sky. Tim and his friends usually go out and enjoy spring. They go to a big park-on Sundays. Amy sits on the bench and listens to music. Sometimes she sings with the music. Mary reads a storybook on the swing(秋千). She likes reading very much. Peter and John go fishing near the lake. Peter is good at fishing. But John is learning how to fish. He likes eating fish, so he wants to catch many fish. Tim and Bob play chess under a tree. All the children have a good time.

    One day Mr Li and Mr Wang went to London to see a friend. They didn't know much English and they knew little about London. They didn't find their friend's home. They walked in the street for a long time. Then they saw a man near a shop. They went up to him and asked the way. The man smiled but said nothing(什么都没说) . Then he put his hand into his pocket and took out a book and read, "I'm sorry, I can't speak English." At last they found their friend's home with the help of a policeman.

    It was the Mid-Autumn Festival yesterday. My friend sent me a gift. After dinner, I put the box on the table and opened it. I saw a smaller box in it. I opened the smaller box. There was an even smaller box in that. I opened this box and there was a mooncake. It was very big and round. And there was a letter in the box. It said, "Today's moon is round and bright. And we have the same moon. Happy Mid—Autumn Festival!"
