They usually live far from their parents because they want to find good jobs. They often write to their parents or telephone them. And they often go to visit their parents on holidays.

    Parents usually let their children choose their own jobs. Americans think it is important(重要的) for them to make decisions(作决定).

    Children are also asked to do some housework at home. And in many families，children will get money from their parents for doing some housework. Because American parents want to let their children learn how to make money for their own use.

    There are four seasons in a year. Spring begins first. Summer is the second. Then it's fall. Winter is the last season in a year. In China, the weather is not the same in winter. In Harbin, it's very cold. It often snows. People can play with snow and they must wear coats. But in Hainan, it's not cold. It's very warm. People there can go to swim in the sea.

    Hello, I am John. I have three new teachers. They are Mr Carter, Miss Green and Mr Black. Mr Carter is young, and he teaches us maths. His class is funny. We all like him very much. Miss Green is our art teacher. She is strict but she's very kind. Mrs Black is shy. They are all nice and we all like them.

    Leo and his parents live at White Street, London. Leo's father, Mr Smith goes to work by car in the morning. Leo and his sister Sue go to school by school bus. They go at eight o'clock.
