Hi, I am Li Ping. I am from a small village. There are many houses and rivers in my village. The houses are very beautiful. The water is clean. You can see many fish in the river. There is a mountain near our village. There aren't any pandas in the mountain. But there are many trees on the mountain. A big forest is not far from the mountain. My village is pretty. I like my village.

Lingling: I like cake. Do you like cake, Daming?

Daming: No, I don't. But I like rice.

Lingling: Does your brother Dayong like rice, too?

Daming: No, he doesn't. He likes noodles.

Lingling: Does Amy like apples?

Daming: Yes, she does. But her sister Mary likes pears.

    One day, Alice found(找到) a book in the study. It was about clowns(小丑). She loved the story and she told her mum all about it. "Mum, I want to be a clown now," Alice said. "Well, let's make a clown!" Mum said and pointed to a big box. Inside the box, there were lots of old clothes and paints.

    First, Alice painted her face white. Then she painted her mouth yellow. Next, she put on her red nose. After putting on a red nose, Mum gave Alice a silly wig(假发), a polka dot(带原点的) jacket and large trousers(长裤). She also gave Alice big black shoes. "Now go and look in a big mirror(镜子), Alice," Mum said. Alice looked at her face and clothes. She laughed and said, "I am a clown now."

    Tom was a very lazy boy when he was eleven years old. He didn't like doing anything. He had to go to school on weekdays, but he didn't study hard in the class and didn't do any homework after school. His father and mother were both doctors, and back then they hoped Tom could become a doctor, too. But one day, Tom said to his mother, "When I finish school, I want to be a cleaner." "A cleaner?" his mother asked. "That's not a very good job. Why do you want to become a cleaner?" "Because then I would only have to work one day a week," Tom said happily. "Only one day a week?" his mother was very surprised. "Why do you say that? And how do you know?"     Thirty years ago, my grandparents were young. They didn't wear glasses. Grandma was beautiful. She was a nurse. Grandpa was thin and tall. He was a teacher. He went to work by bike .He liked playing badminton.

    Now they are old. They wear glasses .Grandpa can't ride now.
