Ages: 8—11 years | 12—15 years

The introduction part (both groups)

Please write a self-introduction before your story, considering the following questions. For example:

• Where are you from?

•What are your favorite places? 

• How can we contact you?

Junior group: 8—11 years 

Length: 300—500 words 

Your writing may include these topics:

•Your favorite holiday, book, food...

•A special festival, cultural activity, person...

Senior group: 12—15 years

Length: 500—700 words

The following topics can be chosen:

•Your understandings of cultural tradition, community, language...

•Events (事件) help build your confidence, shape your value or world view...

Please spread the news about our competition to your classmates or friends.

Please give out as many invitation cards as you can.

You can use a nickname (昵称) for online safety.

AI created texts will not be accepted.

Requirements

1. No previous (以前的) experience is required. We will provide you with training.

2. Some weekend availability (可工作性) is required.

3. Part-time positions are open to teens between 14 and 18 years old.

4. Must speak English well.

Salary

$200-$500 per day; Extra money for full-time workers: $50-$150 per day.

Additional details

1. Medical/dental benefits are available for full-time servers after an introductory period (试用期).

2. Uniforms are provided.

Activities

Day1

Arrive in Shangri­La County. You will meet your local guide at the airport or bus station and he'll take you to the hotel. Visit Napa Lake in your free time in the afternoon.

Day2

Drive to Lijiang for 2 hours and visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge on the way. In Lijiang, you can visit the Black Dragon Pond and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You can take a cable car to Baisha Village.

Day3

Take a bus to Dali (about 3.5—4 hours). Visit Bai village, Xizhou and Zhoucheng. And there is a Dali old town.

Day4

Fly to Kunming in the morning, which is the capital of Yunnan Province. Then take a tour to the Stone Forest. In the afternoon, end your trip and leave Kunming by air.

Lab

Safety Rules

 Science labs offer great opportunities for learning, teaching, and research. 

They also pose hazards that require proper safety precautions. 

Stay safe when conducting your labs by following these guidelines.

Dress appropriately 

Tie back long hair, and wear suitable gloves, googles, and other protective equipment. 

Proper supervision

Don't perform lab experiments without instructor supervision(unless given permission to do so).

Know location of emergency numbers & 

safety equipment     

Know the location of safety equipment and emergency phone numbers (such as poison control) so you can access them quickly if necessary.

No food

Don't eat or drink in the lab and never taste chemicals.

ID hazards

 Identify hazardous materials before beginning labs.

Be attentive 

Be attentive while in the lab. Don't leave lit Bunsen burners unattended or leave an experiment in progress.

Be careful when handling hot glassware 

Turn off all heating appliances when not in use. Keep flammable your workspace.

Keep a

Don't obstruct work areas, floors, or exits. Keep coats, bags and other personal items stored in designated areas away from the lab. Don't block sink drains with debris.

Properly dispose of anything that breaks. Report cuts, spills and broken glass to your instructor immediately

After completing the lab, carefully clean your workspace and the equipment, and wash your hands.
