    Water is very important to us. We must drink water every day. We can't live {#blank#}1{#/blank#} water. At home, we use water {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(wash) clothes, to wash dishes, to cook, to clean the floor, to have showers, to make drinks, to clean our{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (tooth), to water the flowers and so on.

     Water has no taste {#blank#}6{#/blank#} all. Water has no colour. Water is in the river, the pump, the tap and the well. Water is everywhere {#blank#}7{#/blank#} us. Water is in the rain, in the river and in the lake. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} there isn't much clean water on the Earth. We must save it. How to save water? We can save it at home. For example, turn off the water tap after {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (wash) hands. Let's save water to save{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (we).

    We are always using body language in our daily {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (communicate). When we talk {#blank#}2{#/blank#} each other, we may use body language, or example, in the USA, people point to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(they) heads when they think someone {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (be) clever.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} , human beings are not the only ones that use body language. Animals also use body language and facial{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(express) to tell each other how they feel and what they think.

    {#blank#}7{#/blank#}a dog is happy , its ears will stand up and its ears will wide open. When it is angry, it will look straight at you. If an elephant spreads its ears, it means "Watch out!". To show friendship, elephants will touch each other with their trunks (象鼻). Dolphins live in groups and like to show each other their {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(feeling). An{#blank#}9{#/blank#}  (anger) dolphin will sometimes slap its tail on the water.

    A happy dolphin will play with its friends, making small jumps into the air. Not only humans but also animals can use body language {#blank#}10{#/blank#} communicate, but the things they "say" to each other are different.

    When a baby cries, its parents will check on it as soon as they can and make sure it is okay. According to a new study, a baby's cry can make adults react very quickly, even if they are not related to the baby.

Oxford University researchers used the classic game whack-a-mole （打地鼠） for the study.

    Whack-a-mole requires people to hit one of nine  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (button). Players must react as quickly as they can to whichever of the buttons that lights up. It is a game that requires speed and accuracy （准确度）. The study invited 40 men and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (woman) aged 19 to 59. Some of them had sons or daughters, although none of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (they) children were babies. They played whack-a-mole after listening to different sounds, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (include) the babies' crying, the crying of adults in trouble and bird songs {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (play) at a similar pitch （高音）to the babies' crying.

    The volunteers' scores were  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (high) after listening to the sound of crying babies. Men and women had similar scores overall. The results showed that hearing a crying baby can trigger a reaction in adults.

"It's almost  {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  (possible) to ignore （忽视） crying babies {#blank#}8{#/blank#} planes. This is true even though there are so many other noises around," said Morten Kringel bach, the scientist  {#blank#}9{#/blank#} led the study. He added that in the course of human evolution （进化） taking care of babies has always been  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} important job for adults. When a baby is hungry, it will cry. As a result, human brains develop a special reaction to a baby's cry.
