初中英语牛津版(深圳·广州)九年级下册Module 3 Sport and health Unit6 Caring for your health同步练习

根据短文内容,选择正确答案。

    Today, an increasing number of people are always looking at their mobile phones with their heads down. These people are called the "'Heads-down Tribe (低头族). Are you a heads-down tribe member? Heads-down tribe members now can be seen everywhere.

More and more traffic accidents are happening because more drivers use mobile phones when they are driving. In order to make drivers pay more attention to driving, some new traffic rules have been made. For example, people who use mobile phones while driving in Taiwan are fined (罚款). Car drivers and motorcyclists who break the traffic rule will be fined NT$ 3, 000 and NT$1, 000 respectively (分别地).

As we can see above, using mobile phones may cause accidents and even cost a lot of money. Also, more and more interesting and strange facts happen to the "Heads-down Tribe". Let's have a look at an interesting TV report. A man in America kept using his mobile phone on his way home. As a result, he knocked into a big lost bear. When he lifted his eves from the phone, he was so afraid that he turned around and ran away quickly. Another fact is that we can often see people in the restaurant eating face to face but looking at their own mobile phones. It's strange that they don't talk to the ones who sit opposite to them during the meal. Some of them even have fun communicating with others on the phone.

    Mobile phones are helpful and necessary tools for modern life. Are mobile phones good or bad? It depends on how people use them. Let's be "'healthy" users and try to be the "Heads--up Tribe".

A new study has shown how the color of a bowl can influence the taste of the food it holds.

Although it is hard to say what a picky eater (挑食的人) is like, the type may include people who have a limited diet, who have strong likes or dislikes for certain food, who require food to be prepared in a special way, who aren't willing to accept new food, or who show signs of all these features.

According to this new study, food was put into two groups in red, blue, or white bowls. While the color made no difference in taste for non-picky eaters, the picky. eaters reported changes in their taste senses-based-on-the color of the bowl being used. Snacks in red and blue bowls were thought to have more salt than those in white bowls, while snacks in red bowls were less pleasant than those in the other bowls.

 "This knowledge can be useful for those who want to try more kinds of foods," says Lorenzo Stafford, a psychologist from the University of Portsmouth in the UK. "For example, if you want to encourage a picky eater to try some bitter (苦的) vegetables, you can try to put them on a pink plate or in a yellow bowl, because this can give him or her a sweet feeling."

At first it may seem strange that a bowl color can influence the taste-of food, but the research before has shown how light and music can influence eating habits. All of our senses are connected, including taste.

 "This new study can help in treating food neophobia--the unwillingness to try new food, "the team of the study says, and further studies will be required to find out more relationships between colors and foods.

 "Through further studies, maybe we can decide ways to help actively influence a person's diet, and as a result, their health in mind and body." says Stafford.

第二节 任务型阅读;阅读下面材料,从方框中所给的 A-E五个选项中选择正确的选项(其中一项是多余选项),将其序号填入小题, 并回答问题。

 The world is getting smaller everyday and knowing multiple( 多 样 的) languages is more important than ever. Of course, it is not easy to learn a new language, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Here are some ideas.

● {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

 Research shows that this is one of the best ways to learn foreign language vocabulary. If the books written for native speakers are too difficult for you, try starting with children's books, comic books or graded readers( stories adapted for language learners) for fun.

● Listen to music

 It is a good idea to download some songs in a foreign language to practice your listening skills and train your memory. To make the most of it, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}; after you' ve heard the song a few times, dive into the lyrics and look up the meaning, then keep listening until you understand the lyrics completely.

● Watch a film

A rainy afternoon in front of a foreign language Disney movie is a lovely way to improve your listening skills. Choose one where you already know the story, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. You can also learn more about the local culture by watching movies from the area.

● Keep a diary

 You can start by writing a simple paragraph or two about your day. Not only will it improve your writing, but it' ll also help you learn how to talk about yourself and your life, which is great practice for conversations.

A try to listen actively

B. Learn to share stories

C so it's easier to follow along

D. Read for pleasure

E. but it can be fun

Among these great ways, which do you think is the best one? Why? (20词左右) {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

 阅读下列短文, 从下面每小题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中, 选出最佳选项

During the National Day holiday, the sky above Shenzhen was lit up by impressive drone 〔无人机〕 light shows. This" cyber fireworks" lit up the night, painting a lively picture of Shenzhen as a" City of Miracles, City of Innovation, City of Future". A total of 10, 197DAMODA drones took to the sky at the same time, setting two Guinness World Records. So how does the drone light show work?

 Before a drone light show begins, drones are usually put on the ground one by one and it would take a lot of time to prepare a show with more than ten thousand drones. To shorten the time, the DAMODA drone company thought of a solution. The company put groups of drones into big boxes with specific OR codes on it. By putting the boxes into correct places, thousands of drones can be ready in a short time and they can go back to their"homes" by scanning the OR codes.

 In drone shows, each drone is programmed by a computer to follow its own flight direction, carefully avoiding the other drones. They communicate with neighbouring drones and use sensors(传感器) to keep a certain distance. The position and LED colours change throughout the performance to show different objects in the night sky.

 Drone light shows are thought to be more environmentally friendly — and certainly cause less noise and light pollution — than fireworks shows, so lots of big events are turning to them instead of fireworks. Drones can also be reused again and again so they will probably be more popular in the future.
