Da Vinci was a great man who has the greatest mind of the Renaissance. He is universally recognized as an art master {#blank#}1{#/blank#} great scientist. He was an Italian painter, musician, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(engine) and scientist. He lived from 1452 {#blank#}3{#/blank#}1519. He {#blank#}4{#/blank#} born in the countryside. From {#blank#}5{#/blank#} early age, he showed great intelligence and artistic {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(able). As he grew older, he learnt {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(do) many different things. His paintings are very famous. Mona Lisa is perhaps {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(famous) one in the world. He also had many {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(invent). For example, his notebooks include some {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (interest) drawings of flying machines.

    My family members have a close relationship because our family has some rules.

    Family dinners

    My mother makes it {#blank#}1{#/blank#} rule that everyone should sit down at the table and have dinner together. I think this is one of the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(easy) and most important rules to have as a family. Eating meals together{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(create) a sense of belonging（归属感）. What's more, keeping the habit will add to everyone's enjoyment.

    Night-time routine

    Although it is hard for us {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( keep )this routine(常规；惯例) at first, it has turned out to be a good habit. After dinner we usually have our playtime, and then 7:00 p.m. is bath time; 7:30 p.m. is time to have some milk; and my mother reads a story{#blank#}5{#/blank#}7:50 p.m., and then I go to bed. This routine makes me {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (wake) up early in the morning and helps me feel {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (relax) at school.

    Cleaning up

    Cleaning up is a family matter. After dinner we help{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (we) parents to clean up the kitchen and clear everything off the table. After this, we {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(ask)to clean up everything that we were playing with in the daytime. So we won't step on hard or wooden {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(toy) when we get up the next morning.

    Charlie was a special boy. When he was little, he had {#blank#}1{#/blank#}accident, which meant he couldn't walk. But that had never been a problem for him. He had always been happy to be able to grow and become an {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (old) boy. People called {#blank#}3{#/blank#}Cheerful Charlie because of his happy nature and kindness to others.

    A young boy, known as Waterworks, was a real cry boy. No matter {#blank#}4{#/blank#}Charlie said to him, Waterworks would always find some {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (reason) to be sad. But Cheerful Charlie didn't give up. He spent some time with Waterworks, trying {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (encourage) him and cheer him up.

     One day when the two boys {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (walk) together in the street, someone dropped a cake from a window above, and it  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(land) right on Charlie's head. The two boys were afraid, and although Waterworks was just to cry, he thought {#blank#}9{#/blank#}Charlie's happy words and finally said, "Wow, Charlie, what a funny face you have!"

     With these words, Waterworks  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(feel) so good, and finally understood why Charlie was always so happy and cheerful.
