One day Mr. Black went into a restaurant. He put his coat on a chair near the door. There was nothing in the pockets(口袋) of his coat. After he had his meal(饭), he went to take his coat back. He found there was much money in one of his pockets. “Whose is this?” he thought. He saw a waiter near the door. So Mr. Black said to him, “Somebody put a lot of money in my coat. I have no time to wait for him. I have to go. Take it, please. When he comes back, give it to him.” The waiter took it and went away. At the moment, another man came with a coat just like Mr. Black's. “I'm sorry,” said the man. “I took your coat and you got mine. Please give me my coat and the money.”Mr. Black answered, “I gave it to the waiter. He'll give it to you.”

   Mr. Black called the manager(经理), but the manager said, “We have no waiters here. We only have waitresses(女服务员). He must be a thief(贼)!”

    Mr. Green made a robot. He could say only one sentence—“There is no doubt (疑问) about it.” The robot always repeated the same words when you spoke to him.

    One day, Mr. Green needed lots of money and he took the robot to the market to sell him. “Who will buy my robot? He is very smart,” he shouted, “Twenty thousand dollars for my robot!”

    A man was surprised that he was asking for so much money. Instead of asking Mr. Green why he wanted so much money, he decided to speak to the robot. “Are you worth (值) twenty thousand dollars?” he asked the robot. “There is no double about it,” answered the robot.

    The man liked the robot's answer so much that he bought him and carried him home. But very soon he found that the robot could say nothing else. He was sorry he bought the robot. He stood in front of the robot and said, “How foolish I was to throw so much money away！”

    “There is no doubt about it,” said the robot.

    My holiday with grandma and grandpa is great! They lived with us in New York, but they moved to Ariz when I was five. Dad usually visits them. He is sending me to stay with them for a two-week holiday.

    This is my first time to travel by myself. On the plane, I study the picture from grandma. It's a picture of an old village and the village is on top of a tall hill. It looks high, and I am not sure I can climb so high.

    Grandpa meets me at the airport. When we drive away from the city, I look at the beauty of the place new to me. Soon we get to my grandparents' village. We are so high up, I feel like a bird!

    Grandma is waiting for us at the door of a building. "Joe, this is called a „pueblo'. The buildings are made from stones（石头）and earth（泥土）," she says.

    Grandma and grandpa's rooms feel cool after standing under the hot sun. Grandma says that the stones keep the rooms cool. After dinner we take a walk outside.

    I really like meeting the people here. One man helps me make an earth vase（花瓶）for Mom.

    The children ask me to their ball games. Sometimes I help grandpa and his friends work on the farm.

    I feel I am part of a big family in our village in the sky. It is hard to leave my grandparents when my two weeks are over.

    Mrs. White asks Monica, "Do you like to have a treasure hunt(寻宝游戏)?" "Yes, Mom," Monica says. Mrs White gives(给) her a green notes(便条). It says, "You can find books in it." Monica comes to the bookcase and sees a yellow note in it. It says, "You can sit on it."

    Monica comes to her bed, but she can't find a note. She comes to her chair and sees a red note. "You can put(放) your tape in it," it says.

    Monica comes to her tape player and sees an orange note next to it. It says, "Call 786-0987." Monica comes to the phone on the table and calls 786-0987. "Monica comes to the phone on the table and calls 786-0987." Hello? This is Aunt Maria."

    "Oh, Aunt Maria, my treasure is you!" says Monica.
