Different countries have different rules about social situations, so when you meet foreign friends, you are to learn about the culture in other countries. For example, if you have an appointment(预约) four o'clock, what time do you your foreign friends to come? If they are Germans, they will on time. If they are Americans, they'll probably be fifteen minutes , but if they are Englishmen, they'll be fifteen minutes late, because sometimes they are about time.
As for lunch time, the Englishmen are happy to have lunch with business friends. During the meal, they often discuss business matters. The Japanese don't like to work while eating, lunch is the time for them to relax. The Germans like to talk about business before dinner, but the Frenchmen eat first and talk after dinner.
