Nowadays, it is common that more and more high school students open their own micro blogs on the Internet. For one thing, it can provide a colorful platform to show their talent. For{#blank#}1{#/blank#}it is a useful way to release their pressure. And all these make it more and more popular with high school students{#blank#}2{#/blank#} many parents and teachers hold a different view. They think that managing one's micro blog will take a lot of time and energy,{#blank#}3{#/blank#}should be used to study.

    In my view, I am greatly in favor{#blank#}4{#/blank#} this activity. Today the Internet is playing {#blank#}5{#/blank#}important role in our life. What's more, opening and organizing micro blogs need various abilities such {#blank#}7{#/blank#} writing, designing, being skillful at computer and so on. Only if we master those abilities can we make a successful micro blog. As a result, we improve ourselves while {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(organize) our micro blogs.

    In fact, micro blog {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(oneself) is of little harm. It is your attitude towards it {#blank#}10{#/blank#}matters. We should take the advantages and avoid some bad effects.

    The art of paper-cutting in China may date back to the second century, since paper{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(invent)by Cai Lun in the Eastern Han Dynasty in China. As paper became more affordable, paper0cutting became one of the most important{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(type) of Chinese folk art. People put up papercuts on walls, windows and doors at wedding ceremonies or festivals {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(strengthen) the cheerful atmosphere.

    Chinese papercuts are rich in content. The auspicious（吉祥的）designs symbolize good luck and the avoidance of evil. The child, lotus and bat designs suggest a family with{#blank#}9{#/blank#}large number of children and grandchildren. Birds, livestock, fruit, fish and worms are also familiar objects{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(accept) by Chinese farmers. In a word, papercuts used in different occasions have different meanings.

    “I saw rice plants as tall as sorghum, each ear of rice as big as an ear of com and each grain of rice as huge as a peanut. I could hide in {#blank#}1{#/blank#} shade of the rice crops with a friend.” That is the dream of the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (agriculture) scientist Yuan Longping.

    Yuan Longping, born {#blank#}3{#/blank#}September 7, 1930, is known for developing the first hybrid rice varieties in the 1970s. Since then, hybrid rice {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (grow) in over 20 countries,{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (attract) attention from the whole world, especially areas at risk of hunger.

    This year 88-year-old Yuan Longping has {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (successful) developed rice growing in saltwater and desert. Though his rice could reduce food shortage, the new strain has a long way to go {#blank#}7{#/blank#} it can be widely spread.

    Yuan Longping's achievement has brought him many awards and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (honor) both at home and abroad. As Yuan Longping accepted his Lifetime Achievement Award, he said that {#blank#}9{#/blank#} lifetime achievement means is to achieve your dream with all your life.{#blank#}10{#/blank#}, fame and wealth mean much less to him than his research, and he says he will focus on developing better rice.

    Recently I failed an exam. However, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}I came out of my teacher's office, I told myself, "Smile! It's not so serious."

    I smiled a big smile and it {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (work) a little, really.

    Everyone gets {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (frustrate) sometimes. I used to be always influenced by pressure and I was often in low spirits.     Did you know that what you think you like and don't like is often the result of false beliefs? As humans, we tend to be {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (easy) influenced when it comes to liking or disliking something, and we're happy to have our existing beliefs confirmed. But once these beliefs became fixed, we often lose our ability to be {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (object) and we don't like to have our ideas challenged.  Generally speaking, human beings are not good at taking a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (balance) view of things. For instance, we unconsciously start to listen for and select information that {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (match) our beliefs and turn a blind eye to information that doesn't, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (reject) it out of hand. We don't always like to accept new information that doesn't match up with what we already believe.

    As a result, we often don't even consider the reasons behind {#blank#}6{#/blank#} opposing point of view. Instead, we look for evidence that confirms {#blank#}7{#/blank#} we had already thought, and which conforms to our own point of view. We're more likely {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (give) meaning to information that matches the beliefs we already have. In other words, we are biased (偏见) towards certain information. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} can come as a shock when information we {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (trust) is actually exposed to be untrue.

    No trip would be complete without experiencing the local food culture. Actually, China has various kinds of delicious food, including a wide variety of local snacks.

    For most of the foreigners I contacted, and myself {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (include), Peking Duck, Mongolian Hot Pot are the favourite Chinese dishes. China is a place {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the food is not only delicious, but the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(cheap) I've ever found.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} my last night in Beijing before {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (return) to the States, I went to a Peking Duck restaurant that had been suggested for me to try. What a beautiful place! Splendid woodblock prints on the walls, fresh flowers in the vases,  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(attract) silverware (银餐具) and beautiful chopsticks. I was handed {#blank#}7{#/blank#} menu and found most of the prices were especially low for the high quality of the food. The lucky came in whole or half, along with all the little decorations - a little tortilla (玉米粉圆饼) to put the sliced cluck and vegetables in, chopped onion and sauce.

    Anyway, I ordered a whole duck, thinking I'd just take the rest back to my hotel {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(eat) later if I couldn't finish it.{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(believable), in the end there was none of the whole duck {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(leave) on the plate.
