One day, as two little boys were walking along the road, they passed a woman carrying a large basket of apples.

The boys thought the woman looked very pale and tired, so they said, "Are you going to town? If you are, we will carry your basket." "Thank you," replied the woman. Then she told them that she had a disabled son. She lived in a small house three miles away, and was now going to the market to sell the apples which grew on the only tree in her little garden. She needed the money for their living.

"We are going the same way you are," said the boys and they took hold of the basket, one on each side, and trudged along with merry hearts. The poor woman looked glad, and said that she hoped their mother would not be angry with them. "Oh, no," they replied, "Our mother has taught us to be kind to others, and to be useful in any way that we can."

The woman then offered to give them a few apples for their help. "No, thank you. We want nothing for what we have done," said the boys. When the woman got home, she told her son what had happened on the road, and they were both made happier that day by the kindness of the two boys.

Another day, the woman saw his son stop and pick up a piece of orange peel, which he threw into the dustbin. "I wish people would not throw orange peel on the sidewalk," said the son." Someone may walk upon it, and fall. "That is right, my dear," she said. "It is a little thing for you to do what you have done, but it shows that you're thoughtful and considerate (体贴的)."

On May 3, a Long March-5 rocket took off from Hainan. It was carrying the Chang'e-6 spacecraft (航天器). After about 37 minutes, the spacecraft separated from the rocket and began its 53-day journey.

The Chang'e-6 spacecraft has a special job. It's going to collect rocks and soil from the far side of the moon and bring them back to Earth. "No other country has done this before," said Wu Weiren, chief designer of China's moon exploration program. The moon rotates (旋转) at the same speed as it moves around Earth. As a result, we always see the "near side" of the moon from Earth. "We still know very little about the moon's far side. If we make it, we'll give scientists new, first-hand information about the moon."

The Chang'e-6 spacecraft has a robotic arm. After it lands on the moon, the arm will start working. It will collect rocks and soil from the moon's surface (表面) and put them in a special box. The spacecraft will then bring them back to Earth. How much will Chang'e-6 be able to collect? Scientists don't know for sure. Their goal is about two kilograms.

The spacecraft will land in an impact crater (撞击坑) called the SPA Basin. It is 2,500 kilometers wide. That's about the distance between Beijing and Hainan. The SPA Basin has a history of over four billion years. It is the oldest and largest impact crater on the moon. Scientists believe that studying it may give us some of the earliest information about the moon.

It was the last day of the school year. The classroom was filled with excitement. When our teacher, Mr. Johnson, walked in, holding a CD player, everyone's face lit up with a smile. We knew that this wasn't going to be another normal day, but a special one.

"Please calm down and sit," said Mr. Johnson, "I'm glad everyone's here for the final reading test of the year." When everyone cried, Mr. Johnson laughed, saying it was just a joke. Then he reminded us that we still had a job to do. "You need to clean out your desks and put all your things into your backpacks," he added gently.

As we began our task, Mr. Johnson turned on the CD player. The lively music made the room feel like a party. Some of us started singing along with the music, and others were dancing around their desks while they were cleaning them out. Even Mr. Johnson showed us a few dance steps, making everyone laugh heartily. After we finished cleaning, someone asked, "When is break time?" Mr. Johnson took out some balls and started playing with them. Suddenly, he let the balls drop and said, "Break time starts... now!"

Just as we were about to rush out, our headmaster, Mrs. Miller, appeared at the door. "Mr. Johnson!" She cried out. A moment of silence fell over the room as we thought, "Mr. Johnson might be in trouble." However, to our surprise, Mrs. Miller couldn't help but laugh at the sight and left us to enjoy our break.

During break time, Mr. Johnson surprised us with another treat. He went to the cafe and came back with ice creams for everyone. We all cheered for him!

As we walked back to the classroom, we passed Mrs. Miller's office. Someone joked, "Don't play with the ice creams, Mr. Johnson!" We all laughed together.
