Superhero suit

    Have you ever dreamed of becoming a superhero? There's a real Iron Man suit, XOS 2. The suit provides the power to lift 200 pounds and break the wood easily. It was designed to help the military with heavy lifting. One person in the suit can do the work of three soldiers.

Hard-working robot

    The EMIEW2 robot is a perfect office helper. It can guide visitors to the places they want to go. The three-foot-tall robot can know different human voices and react to instructions. One day, it may work as a receptionist or a guard.

    Uber (优步)announced that it plans to invest 20 million in developing an aircraft in France over the next five years.

    It will open a new research and development center in Paris﹣its first technology hub outside of North America.

    "France is a perfect home for our next step forward with its strong history of research and development, world class engineers and a unique role in aviation (航空)worldwide,"Uber said in a statement.

    Uber already has R & D offices in Pittsburgh, Toronto, and San Francisco. They focus mainly on Uber's self﹣driving technology, but have also been working on Uber's Elevate flying car program.

    The Advanced Technologies Center in Paris will open later this year and only focus on flying cars. It will conduct research into airspace management, real﹣time communication networks, energy storage, and charging systems.

    Uber's announcement, made at a tech meeting in Paris, has been supported by French President Emanuel Macron, whose ambitious economic reforms are to attract more foreign investment.

    The company also announced a five-year research partnership with Ecole Polytechnique, a leading French institute of technology.

    Uber has been working on its flying car program since 2016. NASA became a partner for the program a year later by developing air traffic management for a fleet of flying cars.

    Uber expects flight to become a daily part of our transportation lives. The company believes it can offer rides in flying cars for about the same price as an Uber X ride. This technology may completely change our transportation lives in the future.

    The American Computer &. Robotics Museum was open to visitors in 1990 in Bozeman, Montana. At first it was planned to build in Princeton, New Jersey. The founders moved to Bozeman in 1988 and after looking at the area they decided to build the museum there. With Yellowstone National Park to the south and Glacier National Park to the northwest, the museum attracts thousands of visitors from all 50 states and over 50 countries. The American Computer &. Robotics Museum has been written about in many publications such as The New York Times, The New Yorker, Los Angeles Times, QST and USA Today.

    When visitors first enter the museum, they are shown a video introducing the museum and its collections. All visitors are given the chance to join in tours led by friendly tour guides. We have had visitors aged from3 to 93- it is a big family. Over 1,000 exhibitions are shown in the 6, 000-squaremetre museum. Travelling through our museum, you will see the exciting 20,000 years of history of the information age. Technology becomes easier to accept when one learns about its origins(起源) in the natural process(进程) of human development.

    When you are waiting on a phone call with a pen in your hand or feeling bored on a train, you may probably doodle(涂鸦). Consultant Graphology(笔迹咨询师)Tracey has studied the most common doodles and their meaning in a new piece of research. Here she shares the psychology(心理学)behind those doodles.

    Everyone knows the strange feeling of your fingers wrinkling up (起皱) when they're wet. Sometimes when in water, it seems as if your hands have aged 30 years in a second. But is this an accident? Or is it something that nature has built into our bodies?

    Scientists at the University of Newcastle in the UK recently did a test. They asked people to pick up things (some wet and some dry). And take them from one place to another. Some people did this with dry hands, while others had to leave their hands in water for 30 minutes first so that their skin was wrinkled. The study found the second group with wet hands had an advantage when carrying things that were also wet.

    The scientist Tom Smulders said that "this wrinkling of our fingers in wet conditions could have helped with gathering food from wet vegetation or streams". Wrinkling happens when blood vessels contract (血管收缩) and pull the skin back.

    A long time ago, humans lived a very difficult life in a brutal world, where the smallest advantage could make a huge difference. Having wrinkled skin might have helped people catch fish. This would help them get through the winter. These humans would then have had an advantage. Their genes would be accepted by natural selection.
