Look! This is our classroom. It is very big. It has big windows. We're having an English class. There are 22 girls and 28 boys in our class. Everyone has a desk and a chair. They are all new. We look after them very well. In our classroom there are two blackboards. One is for the teachers and the other is for students. The walls look very white. On them we can see some nice pictures and two maps, the map of China and the map of the world(世界).

In the morning, the students come to school very early, and the teachers come to school early, too. We have four lessons in the morning and two in the afternoon. We like our lessons very much. We like our class and our classroom. We also love our teachers.

Grace has a large glass jar(罐) and she got it from her grandfather. The girl 1 it half full with clean water. The water shone 2 in the sunlight. Each drop was proud of its own purity(纯净).

One day, Grace's cousin, Bob, came for a 3 . While Grace was away, the boy saw the jar and thought, "What will happen 4 I put some ink(墨水) in the water?"

The "Great Green Wall of China project is over forty years old. In this project, people plant trees in Northern China. Why are trees so important to us? Because it is healthy to live around trees. They can keep us healthy, just like doctors. So, we call them doctor trees. Trees can clean the air. For people in large cities with air pollution, trees can be very important. Workers are planting trees not just in city parks. They are also planting trees along streets to help clean the air. 

Some scientists think that trees not just help clean the air. They are also good for our health. A study shows that people in hospitals feel better when they can see trees from their rooms. And people with trees near their homes usually exercise more. 

Scientists are also studying the healthy effects(作用) of trees on human minds. One effect of trees is that they make people feel happy and relaxed. When people go through the neighborhood with more trees, they will walk slower and talk more often with each other. 

Of course, another good effect is that doctor trees work for free! 

A good hobby is an important part of a student's life. With hobbies, students can learn more about history, geography and culture. Hobbies help students have a good time! Here are some hobbies for students. 

Collecting 

Coins may be too expensive for students, but telephone cards, posters, even T-shirts can be great things to collect. Some students collect old bottles. Students can collect things that don't cost much. Many students enjoy collecting things when they visit a place. When students collect things, the most important thing is that they can learn more about the world. 

Writing 

Writing can make students write better. It can be a great hobby for students. Writing a diary（日记）can help students go into their own world. It is important for them to know how they really feel. They can also write stories about the people and things around. 

Building 

Students like making models, birdhouses and anything else with their own hands. Building is a great hobby because it is easy to start. Most students can find interesting things to build. 

Building can help them have many ideas to make new things, so students can have good creativity. 

Music 

Do you dream to be a music star? Music can help students believe themselves. They can sing songs and play the music more naturally. Sometimes students can learn music in a music club（俱乐部） and make friends with people who have different hobbies.
