Once upon a time in a big city, I walked along the street and suddenly I found an interesting coffee shop, in which I could {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (承担得起) to buy a coffee. I went inside and met a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (陌生人) with long curly hair. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (她的) friendly face made me think of someone know. We then decided to sit down beside a table and begin a talk. She was such an{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (外向的) girl that I laughed all the time over the talk. Her good {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (礼仪) made the talk even more enjoyable. Therefore, we shared almost everything {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (直接地) with each other, like our opinions on events and our interests in life. We were just like old friends that we even {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (提到) our private stories and feelings. In our conversation, I also learned something {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (宝贵的) from her experiences. Her attitudes towards the ups and downs in her life really touched my heart. All {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (反映) that she was such a positive girl that it is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (值得) making friends with her. In the end, we said goodbye, feeling happy for the luck to meet each other. It did turn a simple day into an unusual experience.

Mr. and Mrs. Green are two old farmers in the countryside. George is 1 only son and he is 30 years old. He works in 2 big city and visits his parents only on weekends.

Bayika Kalidibek is 72 years old and he lives in Xinjiang. In 1972, he took over his father's position and worked as a border patrolman (护边员).

Being a border patrolman is hard. The border area has high mountains and difficult roads. Bayika got hurt (受伤) many times during patrols. He faced many problems, but he never gave up. He said, "Protecting the border is a job for all of us, not just the country's."

In 2004, his son Laqini started to work as a border patrolman. Unluckily, he gave up his life when he saved (拯救) a boy from a cold river in 

2021. He was only 41 at that time. "I'm really sad, but I'm proud (自豪的) of him," Bayika said. "Our family has protected the border for more than 70 years. We will pass down our family's tradition from one generation (一代人) to the next."

Bayika's story is touching. We should learn from the old man.
