Last term,Peter was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} at home.His parents were doing busines in another city. He felt lonely,so he often turned on the computer and played computer {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. However, sitting in front of the computer for a long time is {#blank#}3{#/blank#} for him. And he spent little time on his study.He failed his exams.Luckily,his parents {#blank#}4{#/blank#} his problem in time.They decided to come back home.Peter studies hard now.So far,he has made progress in his study.He {#blank#}5{#/blank#} he can catch up with his classmates soon.

    When a private plane flew off course some time ago, it crashed in the mountains and its pilot was killed. A young woman and her two baby sons, the only {#blank#}1{#/blank#}, were unhurt. It was the middle of winter. Snow {#blank#}2{#/blank#}thick on the ground. The woman knew that the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} village was miles away {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, she found a case nearby and turned it{#blank#}5{#/blank#} a bed, put the children inside it and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} them with ail the clothes she could find. During night, it got terribly cold. The woman kept as near as she {#blank#}7{#/blank#}to the children. The next day, she {#blank#}8{#/blank#} planes passing overhead and wondered {#blank#}9{#/blank#}she could send a signal. Then she had an idea. She stamped out the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} "SOS" in the snow. Eventually, a pilot saw the "SOS" and arrived on the scene to rescue the survivors.

Bill, Frank and I are good friends. We like doing different {#blank#}1{#/blank#} on holiday. Last summer, Bill went to Paris. He said he liked Paris. He wanted {#blank#}2{#/blank#} more about it. There he {#blank#}3{#/blank#} some famous museums and other interesting places. Frank went to China. He went to the Great Wall {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the Tian'anmen Square. He took many photos during his trip. He showed(展示) them to us when he {#blank#}5{#/blank#} home. They were really nice. He said he would keep these {#blank#}6{#/blank#} forever(永远). I didn't go out last summer. I only {#blank#}7{#/blank#} in my city and went to the park {#blank#}8{#/blank#} my home. The park was beautiful. There were trees and {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. There were also many kinds of birds. I enjoyed {#blank#}10{#/blank#} in the park.
