    In1997, Bobbi McCaughey gave birth to seven babies. They all survived(存活). This autumn, McCaughey's children are preparing to have {#blank#}1{#/blank#}18th birthday.

    Eighteen years ago, the birth of McCaughey's seven children was huge news across the world. Bill Clinton, American President at that time,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} the family and congratulated them. Doctors worried that they wouldn't survive their first few days, but they did. Many people helped them and they grew up{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

I started to love soul music(灵乐) too after a friend bought me a Motown Classics CD {#blank#}6{#/blank#} my 15th birthday. My favourite hobby was listening to Aretha Franklin or Katrina and the Waves. I looked up to ( 尊敬) a lot of these {#blank#}7{#/blank#} artists and performers(表演者) and still do that to this day. As quite a(n) {#blank#}8{#/blank#} person, hearing these people perform with such Confidence and such talent was inspirational(鼓舞人心的) to me.

    I find that if I have had a hard day {#blank#}9{#/blank#} I'm feeling a little low , listening to something upbeat( 积极向上的) can cheer me up. In fact, scientists have {#blank#}10{#/blank#}that people can make themselves feel good by listening to upbeat songs!

    Do you know how to play a game called "Musical Chairs"? It is easy to play and most people enjoy it. All you need are some {#blank#}1{#/blank#}, some people and some ways of making music. You may use a piano or any other musical instrument, if someone can play it. You may use a tape recorder. You can even use a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Put the chairs in a row. The chairs may be put in twos, back to back. A better way is to have the chairs in one row with each chair facing in the{#blank#}3{#/blank#} direction to the chair next to it.

    The game is easy. When the music {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, the players walk round the chairs. Everyone goes in the same direction. Of course, they should walk in time to the music. If the music is fast they should walk {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . If the music is slow, they should walk slowly.

    When the music stops, the players try to sit on the chairs. If a person cannot find a chair to sit on, he drops out. At last, there will be two players and only one chair. The one who sits on the chair when the music stops is the winner.

    I'm Eric. I love my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} California. That place has many sweet childhood {#blank#}2{#/blank#} for me. When I was a small boy, I had to get up before sunrise (日出) to work on the farm. At sunrise I could see a House {#blank#}3{#/blank#} golden windows far away from the farm. Every day I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} it with interest and wondered what the house looked like inside. To be {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, I really wanted to live there! I often said to myself, "Some day I will {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a house like that." One day I walked to the house with golden windows. Later I learned that the windows were not golden at all. It was the sunrise that {#blank#}10{#/blank#} them look golden.

Mom: Why? What's wrong?

Linda: I can't find my schoolbag.

Mom: Well, where did you last put it?

Linda: I can't remember! I attended a concert yesterday so it might still be in the music hall.

Linda: No, just my books, my pink hair band and some tennis balls.
