Does Fame Drive You Crazy

    Although being famous might sound like a dream comes true, today s stars, feeling like zoo animals, face pressures that few of us can imagine. They are at the center of much of the world's attention. Paparazzi (狗仔队) camp outside their homes, cameras ready. Tabloids (小报) publish thrilling stories about their personal lives. Just imagine not being able to do anything without being photographed or interrupted for a signature (签名)!

    According to psychologist Christina Villarreal, celebrities—famous people—worry constantly (不断地) about their public appearance. Eventually, they start to lose track of who they really are, seeing themselves the way their fans imagine them, not as the people they were before everyone knew their names. "Over time," Villarreal says, "they feel separated and alone."

    The phenomenon (现象) of tracking celebrities has been around for ages. In the 4th century B. C, painters followed Alexander the Great into battle, hoping to picture his victories for his admirers. When Charles Dickens visited America in the 19th century, his works attracted thousands of fans, leading him to complain about his lack of privacy. Tabloids of the 1920s ran articles about film—stars in much the same way that modern websites do.

    Being famous people today, however, is a lot more difficult than it used to be. Superstars cannot move about without worrying about photographers with modern cameras. When they say something silly or do something ridiculous, there is always the Internet to spread the news in minutes and keep their "story" alive forever.

    If fame is so troublesome, why aren't all celebrities running away from it? The answer is there are still ways to deal with it. Some stars stay calm by surrounding themselves with trusted friends and family or by escaping away from big cities. They focus not on how famous they are but on what they love to do or whatever made them famous in the first place.

    Sometimes a few celebrities can get a little justice. Still, even stars who enjoy full justice often complain about how hard their lives are. They are tired of being famous already.

But many kids can't get on well with their parents. The kids don't think that their parents can understand them. Some kids always say their parents are too strict with them. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}? Here are some tips.

Spend more time together. Don't spend so much time playing computer games or watching TV. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Go out to do something，try some new games，or just read a book together.

Share your feelings and ask for help. Many kids want their parents to help them when they feel upset，but your mom and dad may not know that you are having a problem. Tell them what's the matter with you and they will be glad to help you.

Jingwai Mingde Primary School is in Xuanwei, Yunnan. It was made up of five country primary schools in 2008. It has mor than 1, 000 teachers and students now. The country primary school is famous for its special labour lessons. It has a 150-mu farm. The students can help their school get food self-sufficiency(自给自足) by working on the farm. ↵

Each class(from Grade Three to Grade Six) can get a piece of land on the farm. The students can take two labour lessons on the farm with the help of their labour teachers. They love their land very much and spend most of their free time on it. They plant all kinds of vegetables, such as beans, potatoes, tomatoes and carrots. Some even plant apple trees, orange trees and other fruit trees. Their school looks much nicer with green trees and beautiful flowers all year round. 

There is also a zoo in the school. The students can keep chickens, ducks and other farm animals in it. They have learnt a lot by keeping the farm animals. 

"The children have learnt how to do farm work by working on the farm, " said a teacher. "It also helps them learn how to get on well with others and make their school life more colourful. "

Yesterday, Mary didn't feel well. She had a sore throat and a runny nose. She also had a fever. Her mother was worried and took her to the doctor. At the doctor's office, the doctor asked Mary how she was feeling and about her symptoms（症状). Mary told the doctor about her sore throat, runny nose and the fever. The doctor then checked Mary's throat and listened to her breathing with a stethoscope. 

After the examination, the doctor said that Mary had a cold. The doctor advised Mary to drink lots of water, have a good rest and take some medicine. The doctor also told her to avoid eating spicy and cold food for a few days. 

Mary and her mother thanked the doctor and went home. Mary hoped she would get better soon so that she could go back to school and play with her friends.
