Growing up in Philadelphia, Lieberman started cooking with his stay-at-home dad when he was seven. His food-loving family had two kitchens, and he quickly learned what was the best way to bake his cakes. Lieberman improved his kitchen skills greatly during a year abroad before college, learning from a cook in Italy and studying local specialties in Germany, Spain and France. At Yale, he was known for throwing dinner parties, single-handedly frying and baking while mixing drinks for dozens of friends. Just for fun, he and some friends decided to tape a show named Campus Cuisine about his cooking. Lieberman was a real college student showing his classmates how to do things like making drinks out of dining-hall fruit. That helped the show become very popular among the students. They would stop Lieberman after classes to ask for his advice on cooking. Tapes of the show were passed around, with which his name went beyond the school and finally to the Food Network.
Food Network producer Flay hopes the young cook will find a place on the network television. He says Lieberman's charisma is key. “Food TV isn't about food any more,” says Flay. “It's about your personality and finding a way to keep people's eyeballs on your show.”
But Lieberman isn't putting all his eggs in one basket. After taping the first season of the new show, Lieberman was back in his own small kitchen preparing sandwiches.     "The hound(猎犬)!" cries Holmes. "Come, Watson! Come."

We run quickly over the moor(荒野). We hear one last cry. A man is lying on the ground. As we approach(靠近) we see the dead body of Sir Henry Baskerville. He is wearing his brown suit.

"Oh, no!" says Holmes, "This man has a beard!"

Indeed Selden is dead instead of Sir Henry.

"So it is all clear to me. I remember that Sir Henry gave his old suit to Barrymore, and Barrymore probably gave it to Selden—his wife's brother."

"Then Selden is dead because of this suit," says Holmes.

"Think, Watson! Someone gives the hound some of Sir Henry's clothes—probably the boot from the hotel in London. The hound picks up Sir Henry's scent and runs after this poor man."

Suddenly we see Stapleton walking towards us. He says, "There was a strange noise. I was worried about Sir Henry. I wanted to check if he was all right."

    "Really?" asks Holmes.

Stapleton looks at Holmes. "Why, it is Mr. Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective! Can you solve the mystery of the Hound of the Baskervilles?"

Holmes shrugs his shoulders," We cannot solve every mystery. Anyway I will return to London tomorrow."

"Oh, will you return to London tomorrow?"

    "Yes."

So Holmes and I walk off to Baskerville Hall and Stapleton walk to his home.

Holmes thinks Stapleton is dangerous. But we have no proof that Stapleton is the murderer.

"There are no marks on Sir Charles's body. We know that he died of fright, but we can't prove anything."

"Things are becoming clear to me," Holmes says to Sir Henry. "It's a very difficult case. And you must help me to catch this hound."

We are surprised to see one portrait(画像) of a thin man is Sir Hugo, the first victim of the Hound of the Baskervilles. And he's like both Sir Henry and Stapleton. "Stapleton is a Baskerville," replies Holmes. "So he wants to inherit(继承) the Baskerville fortune, and he…," I say. It's an important clue.

If you want to study in a foreign country, you have to think about where to live. Because I'm still too young to rent a flat by myself. I am living with a homestay family in Canada and I feel like I'm part of the family.

I had a homestay in 2013 for the first time. During that time, I stayed in Ajax, a town in Canada for a week with a homestay family. Carlton lives with his nephew and hisniece-in-law9侄子和侄媳妇).Carlton drove me to a school to learn about Canadian culture every morning, and he picked me up in the afternoons. Our free time was in the evening. The meals he made for me were delicious and we usually watched a movie after dinner. I couldn't forget the life there although I didn't live there for a long time.

I'm now living with a Hungarian(匈牙利)family with another Chinese boy. There are two family members — Mrs. Perger and her son, Robert. I've already lived here for nine months. Once, my roommate went running and didn't come back for a long time. Mrs. Perger called him, but he didn't answer the phone. She began to worry about him and cry. Fortunately, he was fine and got back home later. I was deeply moved.

However, living with a homestay family also has some problems. when you live with a foreign family, you live a lifestyle different from your own family's. It may take you a long time to get used to (习惯于)it.

Living with a homestay family teaches me how to communicate with different people and what we should do when different lifestyles and cultures meet together.

The first cellphone was invented fifty years ago. The man who built that phone, Martin Cooper, is now 94 years old. He has been called the "father of the cellphone".

In the early 1970s, Cooper worked for American technology company Motorola. At the time, Motorola and other companies were competing(竞争) to create cellphones. Cooper made the first public call with a handheld telephone in New York City on April 3, 1973. The device(设备), called Dyna -TAC, weighed about 1 kilogram and was 28 centimeters long.

He developed the phone with his team at Motorola for over five months. They could only talk on it for about 25 minutes. Cooper noted that such a call time was not a problem, because this phone was so heavy that you couldn't hold it up for 25 minutes. Cooper said, "The only thing that I was worried about: 'Is this thing going to work?' And it did. At the time, we had no way of knowing this was an important moment in history."

Today, the phone allows us to do many things. Cooper said the progress of cellphones is sure to continue long into the future. He thinks future phones will monitor our health at all times and batteries(电池) could even be replaced by human energy . He believes that one day, our phones might be small devices inside our ears.

Cooper has also expressed his worry. "We don't have any privacy(隐私) anymore because everything is now recorded someplace," Cooper said. However, he said hopefully that cellphones will continue to develop in ways that can greatly help humans.
