Everyone needs to know how to prevent a fire. It is also important to know what to do when it {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (break)out.

    Every year, over 11，000 people {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (kill)or injured in house fires. These fires could have been avoided. Smokers who are {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (care)cause about 200 deaths and over 6,000 fires. More than of those {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  die in fires are poisoned or harmed by smoke.

    If fire happens, do not attempt to fight the fire unless it is small. Try putting out a small fire with water. If {#blank#}5{#/blank#} fire has spread or if the flames are more than 20 inches high, shut the door on it. Warn everyone else in the building and tell them to get out. You should leave and dial 911 for the fire department.

    Before {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (go)into a room，check the door. If the handle or the door is hot, do not open it! Instead, put clothing or a wet towel at the bottom of it to keep smoke out. If the door is not hot, open it  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (slow)．If there is a rush of smoke heat, close it again and shout to warn {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (other)inside.

    Now open the window and shout “Fire!”. See whether you can drop safely to the ground. Use this {#blank#}9{#/blank#} your escape course if you can. If you are not on ground level, break your fall by pushing a mat out first. Lower yourself at arm's {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (long) before dropping. Once outside, stay out outside and make sure the fire department is called.

    How do learning habits influence learning results? It's useful and necessary to discuss learning habits. There is a famous {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (say) “Good habits lead to good endings”, which shows the importance of habits.

     “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Also {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (show) a healthy everyday habit helps to build up our body. Thus, good learning habits can help us gain great learning results, high scores and abundant knowledge {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (include). At first，learning habits form our ways of thinking and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(attitude) to the content of our learning.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} ( obvious)，a good habit can help us to speed up to reach our destinations. As we can see，developing a good habit is so important {#blank#}6{#/blank#} I would like to introduce one kind of good learning habits — keep a learning diary every day. We can start the habit by {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (write) a learning summary and remember to record something {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (impress) and meaningful. Keep it in mind, and we can gain this good learning habit and benefit from it.

    What's {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（much），I find out that I still have some bad learning habits {#blank#}10{#/blank#} well. I can only concentrate on reading for a short time and I will conquer this problem by spending more effort on concentration practice in future.

    Two brothers decided to dig a deep hole behind their house. As they were working,a couple of older boys{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (stop) by to watch.

    Not every dream will be realized. But when you couldn't get what you wanted, perhaps you can say, “Yes,but look at the wonderful things {#blank#}10{#/blank#} have come into my life because I tried to do something! ”

    Confucius(孔子) is honored {#blank#}1{#/blank#} setting the tone for much traditional Chinese music for thousands of years. He {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (think) to be a music teacher and a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (talent) musician who was able to play several instruments expertly. Perhaps for other people around the world, music was meant mainly for amusement.{#blank#}4{#/blank#} during the time of the Zhou Dynasty about 500 BC, music had an important role in making society stable.

    How music was used and performed is expressed in several main Confucian books. Confucius taught that {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (educate) somebody, you should start with poems, emphasize ceremonies, and finish with music.

    Musical knowledge was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} matter of higher learning. It is said that he thought of the six most important {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (subject) to study, ranking music higher than the other five necessary subjects like writing and mathematics.

    Music was so important because the ideal society was to be governed by ritual (礼制) functions, but not by law. In a culture {#blank#}8{#/blank#} people function according to ritual, music is used to help govern them. So music wasn't really {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (entertain), but a means for musicians to accomplish political and social goals. Music is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (eventual) a means for social happiness.
