I can't help but feel {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(concern) about the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(destroy) of tropical forests. It is one of the most serious environment problems today. From {#blank#}3{#/blank#} I know, people are damaging thousands of square {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(kilometer) of forests every day. This is killing hundreds of wild animals that live in the forests.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(fortunate), we do nothing but talk about it. We don't do anything {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(protect) the forests. We need to stop people doing it. There should be {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(strong) laws. I think that people who cut {#blank#}8{#/blank#} forests should go to prison. That's what should happen to people who destroy the forests and kill wildlife.

    In my opinion, we, human beings, must protect wildlife {#blank#}9{#/blank#} future generations. Hopefully, our children {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(be) more responsible than we are today.

    Over the years I have been teaching kids about a simple but powerful concept —— the ant philosophy ( 哲学 ), an {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (amaze) four part Philosophy.

    First, ants never quit. If they are heading somewhere and you try to stop them, they will climb over. They will climb under or climb around. They never quit {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(look) for a way to get where they {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(suppose) to go! Second, ants think about winter and summer. They are always gathering their winter food in the middle of summer and they are making{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(prepare) for the long cold winter. So you have to think about storms in summer and think about rocks{#blank#}5{#/blank#} you enjoy the sand and sun. Third, ants think about summer all winter. During the winter, they remind{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (they),” This won't last long and we will soon be out of here.” On {#blank#}7{#/blank#}first warm day, the ants are out. If it {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(turn) cold again, they will dive back down .But they come out again if it is warm. Last, how much will an ant gather during the summer to prepare for the winter? All that it {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(possible) can. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}you can learn from the ant philosophy is: Never give up, look ahead, stay positive and do all you can!

    David was a normal boy, but he had been born deaf. He was well known to everyone in town, and they were all very fond {#blank#}1{#/blank#} him. Unfortunately, he always seemed to be treated {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (different) from everyone else.

    When people hear the word "rat," they may think of dirty animals {#blank#}1{#/blank#} spread disease. And if you are an English learner, you may also connect the word "rat" with bad {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(express). For examples, calling someone a "rat" is a big insult and "rat race" describes {#blank#}3{#/blank#} joyless, hurried ways of living.
