Only Mother Love is true love. It gives everybody everything all his life. When you are still a baby, mother{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  you as much as possible. In your waking hours she always holds you in her arms. When you are ill, she stops her work to look after you day and night. When you are {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  day by day, she feels very happy. When you are old enough to go to school, mother still looks after you. On cold winter days, she always tells you to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  more clothes. She always stands in the wind {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  you back from school. When you hurry to leave home for school with little breakfast, she always {#blank#}5{#/blank#} you at home. When you do well at school, the brightest smile will be seen on her face.
   Mother is always ready to give everything she has to her children, not to receive. What true love that is in the world! We will remember Mother Love forever.

    What will the world be like in the future? In {#blank#}1{#/blank#} idea, a lot of what we see in science fiction(科幻) films {#blank#}2{#/blank#} true.

    I think there will be flying cars for people to park on—top of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} , lf this happens, there won't be any more traffic jams! I believe that {#blank#}4{#/blank#} houses will be green, as we'll only use the energy {#blank#}5{#/blank#} wind and solar power (太阳能). In the future, I think robots will do most of our {#blank#}6{#/blank#} , so life will be easier. There will be robot teachers too, and children will {#blank#}7{#/blank#} laptop computers(笔记本电脑) to school instead of books. No one really knows {#blank#}8{#/blank#} will happen. All we need to do is to believe in {#blank#}9{#/blank#} . After all, as Albert Einstein once said,”I never think of the future, It comes {#blank#}10{#/blank#} enough."

    There was once a lonely girl who wanted to get love. One day when she was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the woods she found two hungry birds. She took them{#blank#}2{#/blank#}and put them in a small cage. She looked after them with love and the birds grew strong. Every morning, they greeted her with{#blank#}3{#/blank#}wonderful song. The girl loved them very much.

    One day the girl left the cage door{#blank#}4{#/blank#} One bird flew from the cage. The girl was afraid that he would fly away. As he flew close, she caught him wildly. She was very happy{#blank#}5{#/blank#}him. Suddenly she felt the bird unable to walk. She opened her hand{#blank#}6{#/blank#}was surprised to find the bird was dead. Her love {#blank#}7{#/blank#} him.

    She noticed the other bird jumping up and down in the cage. She could feel his great{#blank#}8{#/blank#}for freedom. She lifted him from the cage and let him fly into the air. She wanted the bird to be happy. The bird circled once, {#blank#}9{#/blank#}, three times. Finally, he flew closer and landed softly on her shoulder. He sang the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} music that she had ever heard.

A: What do you {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Halloween?

B: It's on October 31.

A: Yes. But do you know what people do on that day?

B: Of course. They {#blank#}2{#/blank#} and dress up.

A: I hear that children love Halloween best.

B: Yes. Because they can play a game called “trick or treat” then.

A: How do they do that?

B: They paint their faces, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} their neighbours' doors and shout “trick or treat”. If people don't give them any candy, they usually {#blank#}4{#/blank#} them.

A: That's really interesting. Do people have a party on Halloween?

B: Yes, usually in the evening. People {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and enjoy nice food.
