Hi,my name is Erik. I live in a small town in the southeast of England. In my house there are three rooms downstairs ad three rooms upstairs. Now I'll show you some of the rooms.

Kitchen		The fridge—This is the place where mum keeps things cool. Dad's computer—Not everyone in England has a computer in his kitchen but my dad has. Washing Machine—Mum washes our clothes here and hangs them out in our garden to dry.
Bathroom	A toilet. A bath—We fill the bath up with water  and  then  climb  into  it  to wash ourselves. A sink with two taps (one for hot water and one for cold). I clean my teeth at the sink and also wash my hands and face. Laundry basket—This is where I put my dirty clothes for washing.
Bedroom	My own computer and my own television. Wardrobe—to hang my clothes in.Bookcase—for my books. My bed—My bed is high up as I have my  desk  and  my  computer under it.

he living room is also downstairs. It is where the television is. We eat our food and watch TV there. The three rooms upstairs are all bedrooms.

    I'm Li Ming．The holidays always make me happy．Last summer holiday,I went to Paris with my mother by plane．We went there to visit my uncle．He met us at the airport．

    My uncle took us to visit the Louvre Museum by underground．I saw a lot of famous things．I enjoyed many old pictures in it．The pictures were very creative(有创意的)．We also visited the Eiffel Tower．It is the famous symbol(标志)of Paris．One evening，my uncle took us to eat good food and go shopping．My mother bought many clothes-some for her,and some for my sister．

We stayed in Paris for about half a month.The trip gave me lots of fun.I will remember it.

March 24^th

    This morning, we had a school trip to the Dashan Collection House, a building of two floors． It is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm． We took the school bus and arrived at 9:00． When we entered the collection house, our eyes were caught by a collection of old photos of the town on the walls of the front hall． Those photos told us something about the history of the town． And then in the Art Room, we saw many pictures of the countryside． The colors of the flowers and trees are rich and bright． All at once, I lost myself in the beauty of nature．

    Then we went upstairs． On the left, there were over one hundred different clocks． The oldest clock was already more than two hundred years old． To my surprise, the clocks all worked well and they could tell the right time． It was then ten o'clock, and some clocks produced different beautiful sounds． It seemed to be a concert． How amazing!

    On the right there was also a stone collection． The stones were from all over the country． They were in different sizes, colors and shapes． Some looked like different kinds of animals． I really liked one stone that looked like a little monkey． It looked very nice．

    The collections there were wonderful． So they stayed there until 11:30 in the morning． I had a great time and really liked the school trip．

    Once when I was a teenager, my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally, there was only one family between the ticket office and us. This family made a big impression on me.

    There were eight children, all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didn't have a lot of money. Their clothes were not expensive, but they were clean. The children talked excitedly about the clowns. It was clearly a very important day out for them. The father and mother seemed happy as they could be.

    The tickets lady asked how many tickets the father wanted, he proudly answered," Please let me buy eight children's tickets and two adults' tickets, so I can take my family to the circus."

    The ticket lady told him the price.

    The man's wife lowered her head. There was no longer a smile on the man's face. He quietly asked," How much did you say?"

    The ticket lady again told him the price.

    The man obviously didn't have enough money. But how could he tell his kids the bad news?

    Seeing what was happening, my dad took a $20 note from his pocket and dropped in on the ground. (We were not rich ourselves at all!) He then tapped the man on the shoulder and said," Excuse me, sir, you dropped this."

    The man understood my father was helping him. He picked up the money, looked straight into my dad's eyes, and in tears replied." Thank you. This really means a lot to me and my family."

    Although we did not go to the circus that night, we didn't go without.

It was a Sunday morning. Lori was busy writing in her book. Marilyn was drinking coffee and I was reading a newspaper. Suddenly, Lori 1  and asked, "Why are there more pictures of Lisa than there are of 2  ?"Lisa is our older daughter.

I stared back, not understanding the 3 . Lori left the room . I looked at Marily,"Are there more pictures of Lisa than of Lori?"

"I've never 4  them. I don't know,"replied Mrilyn.

" But 5  would Lori ask such a question?" I asked. After a few minutes of thought, Marilyn said,"In my memory(记忆),you were taking photos when Lisa was born.

You hardly went 6  without a camera. When Lori was born, videos became 7  . You used a video camera to record nearly everything in our lives. There must be hundreds of videos of Lori in the computer that Lori has8 seen or doesn't remember."

Later that night, when we were alone, I turned on the computer and found the 9  of Lori.

"What are you going to do?" Marilyn asked.

"Her birthday is coming," I said. "Let's make an album for her as a gift. I don't know if the album will answer her question, 10  at least she'll know that we care enough to find her an answer."

Over the next few days, we secretly went through all the videos. We selected (挑选) some 11 . Marilyn had them made into photos. When the photos were returned, we placed them' into an album.

When we looked at the album, all the 12  memories came back. We hoped it showed how 13  she was to us.

On th June, when passing Lori's room to leave for work, I opened the door and slipped the album inside. Attached to it was a birthday card with a note 14  why her mother and I had put the album together.

It was about eight o'clock when my office telephone rang. I picked up the receiver. A tiny voice spoke,"I love you, Daddy,"she said and disconnected. I knew our 15  had been received.
