There is a zoo in my town. I often go there with my parents by 1 on the weekend. It usually takes my father about 2 minutes to drive there. We often leave home at about eight and 3 there at about twenty past eight.

    I like many kinds of animals, but I like  4 best. First, they are very cute. Second, they are friendly, and they are one of China's 5. but now pandas are in great danger, so we must  6 them.

    Now, I'm watching the two pandas in the zoo. I  7 want to go near and play with them. 8 I also want to give them some food. But 9 the rules in the zoo: 1. Don't go near tothe animals. 2. Don't give10 to the animals.

    To make animals live a happy life, everyone needs to follow the rules.

    My dad works from Monday to Friday in a bank. He uses the computer to count money. His job is very important in the bank. Dad is also busy at home. At weekends he cooks dinner. Usually he cooks Italian food. On Sundays he makes five pieces of pizza. Sometimes he cooks chicken and makes Chinese food. My mum watches and helps him. I help my dad, too. I wash the dishes.  Many people think it is strange for a man to cook. But my dad enjoys his hobby. Cooking relaxes him. He is a weekend cook.

    If you want to study in a foreign country, you have to think about where to live. Because I'm still too young to rent a flat by myself. I am living with a homestay family in Canada and I feel like I'm part of the family.

    I had a homestay in 2013 for the first time. During that time, I stayed in Ajax, a town in Canada for a week with a homestay family. Carlton lives with his nephew and hisniece-in-law9侄子和侄媳妇）.Carlton drove me to a school to learn about Canadian culture every morning, and he picked me up in the afternoons. Our free time was in the evening. The meals he made for me were delicious and we usually watched a movie after dinner. I couldn't forget the life there although I didn't live there for a long time.

    I'm now living with a Hungarian（匈牙利）family with another Chinese boy. There are two family members — Mrs. Perger and her son, Robert. I've already lived here for nine months. Once, my roommate went running and didn't come back for a long time. Mrs. Perger called him, but he didn't answer the phone. She began to worry about him and cry. Fortunately, he was fine and got back home later. I was deeply moved.

    However, living with a homestay family also has some problems. when you live with a foreign family, you live a lifestyle different from your own family's. It may take you a long time to get used to (习惯于)it.

    Living with a homestay family teaches me how to communicate with different people and what we should do when different lifestyles and cultures meet together.

Jean Champollion was very good at languages. He learnt twelve languages in his life. When he was eighteen , he began {#blank#}1{#/blank#} history(历史) at university. He was younger than many of his students.

Jean was very interested in ancient Egypt and in 1821he began to study the Rosetta Stone(罗塞塔石碑). A group of soldiers found this stone at Rosetta when Jean was still a young boy. It was under the sand for {#blank#}2{#/blank#}years before the soldiers dug it up (挖出来). There was a lot of strange writing on the stone. The writing was a message in three languages. One of the languages was ancient Egyptian. No one could read it at that time. But Jean {#blank#}3{#/blank#}its secret.

The ancient Egyptian was not a language with letters and words like English. It was full of {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. According to many experts (专家) , these signs showed things and ideas. Jean did not completely agree. He thought some of them {#blank#}5{#/blank#} sounds. He found 15 signs of this kind in his study of Rosetta Stone. Today, it is possible to understand ancient Egyptian from 4, 000 years ago because of Jean's discovery (发现). 

Friends will come and go in your life. You can do something for your friends.
