As a student, what does it mean " to be good"? TheCode of Conduct for Primary and Middle School Students (《中小学生守则》) holds the answer.

    Last year, a new draft (草案) code came{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, replacing the old content. There are some important {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Big phrases like"have deep love for your motherland, the people and the Communist Party of China" are not there anymore. The new code tells students to respect the national flag and national emblem (国徽){#blank#}3{#/blank#}. It also {#blank#}4{#/blank#}students to "know about China's history".

    Also, the new code asks students to "lead alow-carbon (低碳的){#blank#}5{#/blank#}"，"takepart in voluntary work"， and "control the time you spend online". The change on brave actions {#blank#}6{#/blank#}draws attention. The old code told students to act bravely when they saw people {#blank#}7{#/blank#}rules. But the new code asks students to learn to protect {#blank#}8{#/blank#}and ask for help.

    Many teachers are {#blank#}9{#/blank#}to see these changes. Students say they know{#blank#}10{#/blank#}to do when they face some problems.

    As we know most of the things in our daily life have to be {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（买） with money. But money cannot buy many things, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（包括） time,  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（健康） and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（友谊）.

    There are 24 hours in a day. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（有时） when we are happy, we wish that the happiness would last longer. But {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（无论什么） we do, or how much money we are willing to spend, we can't make a day last 25 hours.     So we should {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（认识到） that money is {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（必需的） in our life. But it's not the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（最重要的） thing in our life.

    David is  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} fat man. He  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (get) up late in the morning. He has a big breakfast every morning. He has some meat, three or four eggs and some bread.     Many people like animals and take them as their pets. Nowadays pet hospitals are very busy. K{#blank#}1{#/blank#}persons who love animals are needed to work in busy animal hospitals.

    Scientists think that pets will p{#blank#}2{#/blank#}be much smaller because people in the future will live in much smaller spaces. Scientists have been already working on making very small farm animals. The same things might be d{#blank#}3{#/blank#}to make cats and dogs smaller.

    It's said that some day you might o{#blank#}4{#/blank#}a lion as a pet, Scientists might have to start turning wild animals into pets. This might be the only way to save them from dying out

    What a{#blank#}5{#/blank#}a robot for a pet？This may sound silly, but it could become true. Robot dogs have been made to bark like real dogs. These "pets" might become more and more p{#blank#}6{#/blank#}in the future. After all, robots don't lost hair or chew on things as real pets do.

    Lots of people miss their pets while they are on holiday. One hotel in Minnesota has solved this problem. They lend cats to their guests. It is very possible that in the future you will be able to order a pet as well as room s{#blank#}7{#/blank#}, at a hotel.
