Tips for incoming freshman in High school

    I never really knew exactly how I felt about starting high school. While I was excited to make new friends and learn new things, I was also very nervous about finding my way around. I knew it would be d{#blank#}1{#/blank#} to get used to a new life, but there really isn't much to fear! So, for all those new incoming freshmen out there, I'm here to help you make it through your first year of high school!

    Here is just a list of some of the things I found helpful throughout my first year.

    1) Remember, you aren't a{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. There are hundreds of teens experiencing what you are experiencing this very moment! Although you may feel a million different things, just keep in m{#blank#}3{#/blank#} that there are people that are feeling the same way.

    2) Don't be afraid to make new friends. There are many people who s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} the same interests as you and are looking for those who have that interest. Sometimes you may have nothing in common but the need to make friends! Remember, there are plenty of teens out there for you.

    3) Join an interesting club or sport. High school is the time to t{#blank#}5{#/blank#}new things, and luckily your school has so much to offer! There are so many clubs to choose from, like the environmental club, Spanish club, cooking club, and so many more! Many schools also offer a wide variety of sports, i{#blank#}6{#/blank#} a freshman level! Joining a club or sport is also a great way to meet people!

    See? It really isn't that hard! Knowing these things will hopefully make you feel a little more c{#blank#}7{#/blank#}about your freshman year of high school. Just keep your head held high and enjoy it while you can!

    A fisherman lived with his wife in an old shack(棚屋)by the sea. Each day he caught a fish, and cooked{#blank#}1{#/blank#} for his wife. One day he caught a talking fish. The fish asked the fisherman to let him live and the fisherman {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(agree). For the rest of the day, he caught nothing else.

The man didn't want a house but he didn't want his wife to get angry either, so he didn't know if he should is ten to his heart{#blank#}5{#/blank#}his wife.

    The next day, the fisherman told the fish his wife's wish. When he got home, his wife was standing by the side{#blank#}6{#/blank#}a nice house. For a week, she was happy but then she started to complain. " Go and ask for a castle(城堡)," she said. "If you don't, I' be{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(happy)forever. "So he went back and spoke to the fish again. When he got home, his wife was standing in front of a castle.

    Life was good for a few {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(day)but early one morning, the fisherman's wife sad. "I want {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(be)the queen of the land." The fisherman couldn't believe it. I won't go." he told her. "Then, I will never speak to you again" she said. The fisheman went back and told the fish{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(nervous).
