Wonder why you get angry so{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (easy) while your friend smiles all the time? It's probably {#blank#}2{#/blank#}you both have different personalities（个性）.

         Personality is also about {#blank#}3{#/blank#}people think, behave, and react to everything around them from day to day.

         So what {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (make) people think and behave in certain ways?

         Part of the reason is that people are born like this. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}baby gets his blood type, genes(基因）and other physical things when he's still inside his mother. These things may help decide what the baby will be {#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

        But one's personality doesn't stop here. Family life, school learning and life experience can also make you the person you are. This doesn't mean it's impossible {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (change) your personality. You can always try to make yourself {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (good). Don't get too worried about your week points. Just accept them. This is a good way start making changes.

        If you don't know how to make friends, find out why. Is it because you are too shy? Tell {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (your) to smile at people. Start talking to people using warm greetings.

        Don't give yourself a hard time about it. It's not easy to change lifelong {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（habit） overnight.

       Keep working at it. One day you'll see that you can turn over a new leaf and be a new one.

    As middle school students, we should not only know how to protect  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (我们). But we should know how to help people in {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (苦恼). Zhang Qiang is just the boy who can help himself and others.

    Zhang Qiang is a  {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (有残疾的) student. There is something {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (有毛病) with his left leg. But he never gives up. He often does {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (志愿者) work on weekends.For example, he tells stories to those {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (孤独的) old people in the old people's home. Although it's difficult for him to walk to school, he kept on doing so. At school, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (和睦相处) on well with his classmates and teachers.He always gets good {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (成绩). He says, “ I should {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (依靠) on myself and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (尽力) my best to help others.”

    What's the most important thing for you to have in your life? Somebody mentions hardwork, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} suggest knowledge, love and luck. If you arrange (排列) the 26 English letters in order and use {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to represent each of them, for example, 1 for a, 2 for b, 3 for c…… 26 for z, you can change an English word {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a number. So hardwork becomes 8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11=98, meaning 98 is its mark. Knowledge: 11+ 14+ 15+ 23+ 12+ 5+ 4 + 7+ 5=96, love: 12+15+22+5=54, and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}: 12+21+3+11=47, a small mark. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} of these words can give one a full mark. What about money? It can't, either.

    Then what else? Don't be worried. You can always find an answer {#blank#}6{#/blank#}a problem in your life, when you change your way of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} at things or doing things, or your attitude(态度). Yes, attitude is the word. See for yourself: attitude: 1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5=100, a full mark. Different attitudes lead to different courses of life. Most time people hope for a better life. It is possible that they will have a better life {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they change their attitudes. When you change your manner and become {#blank#}9{#/blank#} towards others, you'll meet more smiling faces towards you. In the same way, if you take a positive attitude towards {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, you'll find it's also rewarding(有益的) though it has caused you losses(损失).

     Molly {#blank#}1{#/blank#} too many rules. She has to {#blank#}2{#/blank#} up and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} her bed at 6:00 a.m. at home. After breakfast, she can't leave the dirty dishes in the kitchen. After that, she runs to school because there are more {#blank#}4{#/blank#} at school. She can't arrive late{#blank#}5{#/blank#} class. She has to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} school uniforms on school days. She has to be quiet in class. She can't eat {#blank#}7{#/blank#} listen to music in class. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} she can eat in the dining hall and listen to music after class. She can't play basketball after school because she must do her homework. She can play only on weekends. After dinner, she can't {#blank#}9{#/blank#} TV. She has to go to bed at 10:00. She {#blank#}10{#/blank#} it's terrible.

    During the long summer holidays, many children go to holiday camps. Emily Harris wrote about{#blank#}1{#/blank#} experience looking after children at Kingfishers Holiday Camp, in Salisbury.

    This summer will be my third time to be at the camp here, but I've been to{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Kingfisher camps all over Britain. I've made a lot of friends through this summer job. It's perfect for teenagers {#blank#}3{#/blank#}me. After all, summer holidays are great,{#blank#}4{#/blank#} they are long and they can get boring! We are busy doing this job all the time and we get paid!

    I help the sports and activity teachers, so I{#blank#}5{#/blank#} time with different groups of children, and by the end of the week, I usually know most of them well.

    The best part is when the children try {#blank#}6{#/blank#}new, like boating or climbing. I love seeing their excitement. It's really enjoyable and it makes you feel you are {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a good job. Also when they play a team game, and the other team wins, instead of feeling unhappy, we teach them to{#blank#}8{#/blank#}hands and say ＂Congratulations!＂ to the winners. This gives me a real feeling of success.

    As I said before, it isn't just the {#blank#}9{#/blank#}who make great new friends! Working together so closely, even for just a few weeks, the helpers at our camp become really good {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.
