Everybody likes oranges. They are sweet and juicy. They are in sections, so it is{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  to eat them. Some oranges do not have any seeds(种子). Some have a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  skin, and some have a thin skin.
   The orange tree is beautiful. It has a lot of shiny green {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . The small white flowers smell very sweet. An orange tree {#blank#}4{#/blank#} flowers and fruit at the same time.
   There were orange trees twenty million years ago. The oranges were very small, not like the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  today. The orange tree probably came from China. Many different kinds of wild oranges{#blank#}6{#/blank#}  in China today. The Chinese started to raise(栽培) orange trees about 4,400 years ago.
   Farmers in other parts of Asia and the Middle East{#blank#}7{#/blank#}  to raise oranges from the Chinese. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they taught Europeans. The Spanish planted orange trees in the new world (North and South America). They took them to Florida {#blank#}9{#/blank#} . Oranges are a very important crop in Florida today.
   In English, orange {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  both a fruit and a color. We use the name of the fruit for the color.

    Brian likes jogging (慢跑). He jogs in the park every morning. He always brings five dollars with him. He always buys breakfast for

{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the shop.
One day he jogged into the park and another jogger knocked into him. A few minutes{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, he found his five-dollar bill wasn't in his pocket. “The man might be a thief!” He thought, “It must be him that took my money. I must fight against the crime (犯罪)! ”
The man was only 30 meters ahead. Brian ran after him, hit him on the shoulder, and said “Give me the money!”The man was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} , but at last he gave Brian a five-dollar bill. Then he ran away as fast as he could!
Brian felt really good and ran to the shop. He had got his money back. He {#blank#}4{#/blank#} himself a cup of coffee and two hamburgers.
Then he ran back home. His wife was waiting for him. She was shaking her head. “Oh, dear!”she said, "You've had

a {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  morning, haven't you ?”
   “No! Why? I've had a very good morning!”he said. “Really?" she said. “But you left your five-dollar bill on the table!”

Not everyone can swim with fish in the ocean. But they can enjoy underwater life in another way-by visiting an aquarium.
There is a very large public aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia Aquarium says it is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the world. It has more than one hundred thousand sea animals in thirty million liters of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . These include two whale sharks —the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} largest fish. And everyone seems to enjoy {#blank#}4{#/blank#} huge public aquariums. They have opened around the world. Visiting an aquarium is a good way for children {#blank#}5{#/blank#} about sea animals. They might even want to start an aquarium at home and join {#blank#}6{#/blank#} of people keeping fish as pets around the world.
We do not really know when people began keeping fish as pets. But people have been interested in fish {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a long time ago. Some say the Chinese kept and studied carp(鲤鱼) and goldfish more than one thousand years ago. The {#blank#}8{#/blank#} Romans kept eels（鳝鱼) as pets . And the Greek philosopher Aristotle(亚里士多德) might be the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to study sea life, including sharks and dolphins.
Some people say that keeping fish at home in small water tanks called aquarium is very {#blank#}10{#/blank#} today.

        Mr Smith lived by the sea. He had a big family and he had to work hard, or  his wife and children would be{#blank#}1{#/blank#} . So he had to get up early every day. After breakfast he set out in a small boat. He always hoped to{#blank#}2{#/blank#} . 
     One morning the man got to a good place for fishing.  He threw a long rope with many hooks（钩子）into the water. He found it very{#blank#}3{#/blank#} and pulled the hooks out of the sea. He saw there were some gold chains（链子. He , of course, was very {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . 
    “I'll {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  for a lot of money ,” he thought to himself.“I'll build a new house and buy expensive things. I'll be the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} man in the world!”
    Mr. Smith went on drawing his rope and didn't notice what was happening to his boat. It began to{#blank#}7{#/blank#} . As he was pulling the gold chains, the boat sank into the sea. He lost not only the gold chains ,but also {#blank#}8{#/blank#} !
