The Dragon Boat Festival also called the Duan Wu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. For thousands of years, the festival has been marked by eating Zong Zi and racing dragon boats. To hold the dragon boat races is in memory of Qu Yuan, one of the greatest poets (诗人) in China.

    Qu Yuan was born in Zigui of Hubei Province over 2,200 years ago. Qu Yuan was an honest minister(大臣) of the State of Chu, during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC) (战国时期). He was upright(正直的)and wise. He wanted to bring his country peace and make the State stronger, but the country was in the hands of bad officials, he failed. At last, he was very discouraged. He ended his life by throwing himself into the Miluo River. It was said that people were trying to save him. But it was too late. Also, they were very sad and they threw rice into the water to feed Qu Yuan's spirit.

    Now we read his poem Li Sao which was filled with deep love for his country. We can see the dragon boat races and have a kind of Chinese food named Zong Zi to eat during the Dragon Boat Festival.

     There are some special traditions in Hawaii. People there are very friendly and always welcome visitors. They give visitors a lei, a long necklace of beautiful fresh flowers. Men wear bright flowered shirts, and women often wear long flowered dresses.

     Hawaiians earn most of their money from tourists, most of whom come from the mainland and from Japan. The families of the first people who came from the U.S. mainland own the important banks and companies. Japanese are  also starting business and buying more and more land.

    Heritage (遗产) is traditional customs, history and beliefs. We use the word “heritage” in many different ways. People talk about their family heritage, city heritage and national heritage.

    Today, heritage is changing. The Internet connects people around the world. In many ways this is a good thing, because we can learn about the heritage of other countries, and we can show our own heritage to the world. However, some people worry that traditional heritage is disappearing. In many ways, countries are becoming more and more alike(相似的).In most countries around the world, you can find KFC. Nike shoes, Starbucks coffee. American movies and so on. Some people think this is a good change, and others don't like it. You can decide whether or not it's a good thing.

    However, everyone wants to protect traditional heritage, and sometimes this is hard. For example, when a new KFC opens in your city, a traditional restaurant might have to close.

    That is why heritage protection is so important. Heritage protection is a simple thought. It means keeping your country's or your city's heritage alive. People do this in many ways. The biggest part of heritage protection is probably preserving (保护)old buildings. Some suggestions of heritage protection are making sure your kids speak your traditional language, and teaching knowledge about heritage to them.

    The world is changing. No matter how it changes, never forget the heritage of our parents and grandparents.

In the activity, students had to live and deal with difficult tasks. To make money, many students looked for part-time jobs and saw how hard life was. Living was hard, but finishing the tasks wasn't any easier. The students went to different places to finish tasks in a short time. The most amazing one was when they had to exchange things worth a thousand yuan with only a piece of paper in half an hour. "{#blank#}4{#/blank#} From a balloon to a cake to a bottle of yogurt...after almost 20 tries, we got an expensive ring," a student said. "We will give all of the money we have raised to poor schools in Tibet."

Hong Kong's tourism industry is highly developed. There are all kinds of goods from all over the world, and the prices are very low, so Hong Kong is a good place for buyers. It is also a place where Chinese and Western cultures mix. Food from all over the world is brought together to make Hong Kong a"FoodCapital". Every year,a large number of tourists from all over the world come to visit.
